"Hey, Kyle."I walked up to my best friend of 6 years. "What's up?How was the Physics test?"He asked as he gave me a hug. "Horrible, I'm pretty sure I bombed that shit."I laughed.
"What's up, you guys?"Brick came up to us, grinning super hard.He is my other best friend of 7 years. "Hey, Brick.What are you so happy about?"I asked. "I just got invited to Brittney Campbell's party on Saturday.She even said I could bring you guys."I looked at Kyle and we both smiled. "Sounds like a plan."Kyle said, happily.
"Out of the way, losers.Hey, honey."Jada said, pushing Brick and I out of the way.
She's Kyle's girlfriend.They've been dating for about 6 months now.I hated her with every single bone in my body.She was the complete opposite of Kyle.He's kind, smart, hilarious, gorgeous and the guy of my dreams.Brick is the only person that knows that I like Kyle.
"You could say excuse, stupid bitch."I snapped at her as she tried to kiss Kyle, but he wasn't having it. "Kyle, you're gonna let her talk to me like that?"She pouted. "You pushed them out of the way, Jada.I'm not going to defend that.You need to apologize to them, right now."She rolled her eyes and and faced us again. "Sorry, geez."She turned back around to face Kyle.
I looked at Brick and we both rolled our eyes.
"So, baby, are you coming to Brittney's party on Saturday?You know we have to take some pictures for your Instagram feed."Kyle was the only one in the relationship that posted pictures of them.She didn't because she had the sorriest excuse - "It'll ruin my feed layout." "Yeah, I guess.I'm bringing Brick & Y/N, though.So, don't expect me to be your arm candy for the entire time."I smiled as he put her in check.
I loved when he asserted dominance, it made him even more attractive to me.
"Why do you always have to bring them with you?We never get any time alone."She put her arms around his neck.He grabbed her arms, gently, and removed them from his neck. "We do spend time together.You're just always busy snapping pictures on social media and what not.I'm bringing them and that's final.I'll see you later."He walked away from her and up to us.
"You okay, Ky?"I asked. "Oh, yeah.I'm fine.I just hate the way she treats you guys.Its not fair."He looked down at me causing me to blush. "You're right.I'm gonna be late to British Literature, I'll catch you guys later."I stopped them and hugged them.
For some reason, Kyle held onto me a little longer than usual.I didn't mind, though.I rubbed his back and pulled back and looked up at him.He looked down at me & deep into my eyes.He suddenly let me go and scurried away with Brick, not far behind him.
I stood there, speechless, from what just happened.I looked at the direction that they ran towards and looked down.
I wish he knew how I felt.I wish he wasn't with stupid Jada.I wish things were different.
I walked to class as a tear escaped my eye.God, please make a miracle happen and soon.
