Love Lots

"When I see her with another guy."

"Talking to another guy... I just wanna grab her and tell her that she is mine and only mine."

She is nice. That's why I love everything about her. Isn't that how you really get attracted to someone, by noticing just one thing about them and that sole thing made you fall hard?

Her kindness. It's just so warm. So welcoming. The one thing that I've been wanting to feel all this time.

I'm not much of a talker. I have a relatively normal life with having two parents by my side. But they are distant. Ever since my sister died of an illness. They were like that, only focusing on money. Because at that time, she could've been saved if only we have that. Money fixes things, money makes the world spin, money makes humans work, but money cannot bring back the dead.

I'm eighteen and a hopeless romantic. With a sad background story. A great plot for a supporting character right?

And as for the love of my life, she is stunning. A perfect girl who is always smiling and also perfect for the lead role. With good grades and many admirers.

Speaking of the literal devil, here comes one now. (Y/N) was silently reading a book in the corner of the hallway. She is waiting for a friend to come out of the nurse's office. It was a girl named Angeline who fell sick after gym class. Her peaceful stance was replaced with an alarmed pose when the hot guy number 1 of our school went by her side.

'How I wish that I don't have any rivals.'

"Still waiting for Angeline, (Y/N)?"

She placed her book down and smiled sheepishly at the guy questioning her.

"Yes. She seems to be really tired after the basketball practice." I really want that troubled expression on her face to go away.

The bubbly guy slumped his shoulders and was seemingly upset about the news.

"That's really terrible, did she eat lunch before participating in the class?"

Okay, a genuine act of kindness right there. My love might fall for him. I felt my eye twitch. I walked towards the drinking fountain ahead of me and listened to them talk some more.

"I don't think so... She was really anxious before the practice and she didn't come at the table we usually sat on." I can tell that she is making a cute worried face and god, I love her so much.

"Be sure to tell her to always eat and not to be nervous so much. And... Ah! To always enjoy basketball!" Noah beamed at (Y/N) and gave her a thumbs up.

I wiped my mouth after I finished drinking and looked at them once again.

This is an absolute nightmare. I don't want her to be one of the many fans of Noah. She is ( Y/N ), my ( Y/N ). She shouldn't be... I stared at her sparkling eyes. The look I longed for. The look that I haven't seen her stare at anyone before.

She smiled...

At him. A wide genuine smile that she rarely use. And everything sort of just clicked.

'Alright Angel Guy, time to go away.'

I unconsciously gritted my teeth and clenched my hand. This is why I don't like guys with angelic faces and voices and attitude. They steal the most beautiful girls.

Before realizing it, I took a step towards them. And luckily I stopped myself from going any further. I forgot about being upset as my grip loosened. I bit my lip and walked away.

'She is a lead character after all. And I'm just an extra. '

"Alright class, eyes on the board. And be sure to take notes because I will be including some facts that are not included in your textbooks." The strict English teacher, Ma'am Delaney, said to us.

I gripped my ballpen and wrote every important detail that she said. And whatever she wrote on the board is also written on my notebook. The scene from earlier still bothers me, but I know that she isn't my girlfriend. And I'm not in the right position to feel jealous... But I'm not jealous, I'm just a little upset that's all.

I unconsciously pouted my lips and wrote unnecessary notes.

'I' m not not not not not jealous.' Was written.

I sighed and glanced at her direction. Her seat is a row apart from mine that's why I still have a nice view of her. And honestly, every view of her is nice. Beautiful even.

My face flushed realizing that it isn't the time for this. And focus on my notes. But a certain friend of hers ruined my focus.

"Hey ( Y/N ), do it later alright?"

She was obviously surprised by the sudden voice that she immediately covered her mouth as her wide eyes stared at her friend.

"Pfft-" I tried hard not to laughed at her adorable reaction but I still let a soft laugh out causing the teacher's ears to perked up.

"Mister Hiroshima Hayato, what is so funny?" Ma'am Delaney looked back at me and I just sat there dumbstruck.

'This day can't get any worse.' I face palmed knowing that I will be sent to detention later.

"And as for you Miss ( Y/N ) ( L/N ), did you honestly think that I wouldn't notice you trying to get Miss Angeline to chat with you during my class over there?" My eyes widen as my love visibly frozed on her seat.

Her friend was also in shocked and about to protest but the teacher's glare made her scared.

"Detention for the both of you. And Miss Angeline this is your last warning." Ma'am Delaney went back to writing on the bored as I tried to contain my smile.

'An extended hour of being with her, this day can't possibly get any better.'

The room was silent with me being the single soul around. The sun is yet to set and Ma'am Delaney is nowhere to be found. The sad thing is, my crush is also not here.

She was summoned by the Math teacher because she'll be the substitute on the upcoming math contest once the math prodigy of our school won't be able to participate.

I frowned and sat at my seat at the back.

'She'll probably go home right away huh? Ma'am Delaney isn't here afterall.'

I looked at the window and watched the people below. Must be fun hanging out in groups. But that can be bothersome because there is still a person that won't be included at certain times. I rested my elbow on the desk and leaned on my palm.

And there I saw it. I saw her standing still and waiting for someone. And to my surprise, it was Noah. The anger from earlier came back, gritting my teeth at the handsome obstacle.

He gave her a bouquet of daisy and she glady... accept it. Right then and there, my mind went blank and my arms went limp on my side.

'Is this what Angeline told her about during English class? Is this what she meant by do it later, to confess to Noah?'

And he accepted... He even had flowers to give. When I pictured something like this to happen, I thought I would cry. But I didn't. All I felt was rage. I had been a coward. A socially awkward person with no skills to pick up girls.
