The Castle Of Secrets - Avneil 👑💞

Chapter- 4

Rays of sunlight soon came to visit the forest through the gaping of trees.
Avni woke up while rubbing her eyes cutely. At first she couldn't understand her surroundings then suddenly all the events of yesterday came in her mind. She tilted her head sideways only to find the most peaceful sight in front of him. Neil was sleeping while keeping his head on her chest and his hands on her waist holding her tightly. Neil slowly got up when he found a strong gaze on him.

Neil: I know I'm handsome but stop staring at me like that, it feels creepy.

Avni: You know what I hate you.

Neil: As if I love you.

"Sir what are you doing here? We thought we'd lost you." Neil and Avni heard a voice and turned their heads in that direction.
Neil saw DD and his bodyguards standing there with a bewildered look on their faces.

Neil: Thank God DD you're here otherwise I'd have been dead by now.
Drop this girl to her house.

"Sure sir" DD replied. Pointing towards a direction he said "This way mam".
Neil watched Avni's retreating figure. He felt as if a part of him was going away.

For DD it was the most shocking sight ever that his boss was with a girl that too for a whole night. He knew how much Neil hates girls but he was happy for him.
Here Neil was thinking about Avni with a smile on his face. He had the most peaceful sleep that night without any nightmares.

After walking back to the hotel, Avni went to her room and freshened up.
She decided to travel down the countryside to fetch fresh fruits and vegetables. There was a small farmhouse nearby and at the backside she could see animals grazing in the fields. She rang the doorbell and the door was opened by a lady who would be probably in her 50s.

Avni: Actually I'm a traveller and I came to fetch some fresh fruits and vegetables. Could you please lend me some?

Woman: Do come inside honey. My name is Peg but you can call me Aunt Peg. What's your name, my child.

"Avni" she replied.

Peg: You sit here, I'll bring some coffee for you.
Avni made herself comfortable on the couch. The farmhouse was not so big but it was warm and just felt like home.
In one corner of the room she could see a dog sleeping peacefully and in the other corner there was a cage in which a beautiful bird was sitting. "I think she loves animals" thought Avni.

"So, here you go" Peg said while handing the coffee to Avni.

Peg:  I've told the servant to pack the veggies for you.
"Thank you so much" Avni replied.

Peg: How come you're here in Ireland? I mean you had some work or just like that.

Avni: Actually I'm working on a book so I wanted a quiet and peaceful place to start.
Aunt Peg just hummed in response.

Peg: Avni, my dear you look a little pale. Here's a beach nearby. I think you should go there, you'll surely feel nice and you can get ideas for your novel too.

After bidding good-bye to Aunt Peg, Avni went to the beach. The place was quiet, not many voices could be heard except the sound of the waves coming to the shore. The gentle breeze was flowing across the shores causing her to shiver a bit but it was comforting enough. She tucked the hair strands behind her ear, her cheeks were getting their colour back.
The water was blue and was shining under the light of the sun. At some distance away she could see a Castle standing on a cliff. She wondered what was the history behind that Castle.
She went towards the guide and asked him.

Guide: Some people say that the Castle was built by a man for his wife. The wife was very pretty but she was over possessive for her husband. She had the feeling that he didn't love her like before so she killed herself in her room and was found dead the next day so the natives consider that Castle to be haunted.

Avni thanked the guide for the information. Finally she had found the perfect plot for her story.
