Shattered

Explaination.

(Papyrus's POV:)
Undyne and I walk to Doctor Alphys's lab, followed by Lady Toriel and Human Frisk, who needed to come, because Toriel couldn't find a babysitter. We enter, and begin our discussion. "Sans has been acting strange." I State, and everyone nods, including Human Frisk. We all go over the story of the Dusty Scarf, and Sans's reaction. At certain parts, Alphys mutters, clearly worried, while Frisk sits and listens silently. "I may know why that happened." Frisk announces, drawing everyone's attention.

(Frisk's POV:)
I look at all of them, and they all look back at me, clearly concerned. I shuffle my feet, nervous on how to start. I look to Alphys, and I smile slightly at her. "Let's start with this. I'm the Anomaly." I say simply, and Alphys gasped. I turn back to the others. "I know that doesn't make sense to you guys, so I'll explain. Y'know video games, and how you can save and reload?" I ask them, and they nod. "Well, imagine someone having that ability in real life. How would that turn out, in your mind?" I ask, and a few look concerned, while others look okay. "Now, imagine that person was evil, and using that power for evil, and someone else happens to come along, with that power, but stronger, overriding them." I say, and they all nod again, all of them worried. "The evil one gets bored, but the other one is new. The evil one toys with the Newbie, but the newbie doesn't give in, and saves their friends." I continue, and they all look at me quizzically. "Now imagine that the Newbie found out that they could they free their friends, but once they are free, everything gets reset again, no matter what they do. And eventually, the Evil one gets what they wanted, and the Newbie looses control to something more powerful. And then a ghost from the past possesses them should they try to go back at a certain point, making them continue doing Evil. And then the Newbie ends up killing all of their friends. But the Ghost isn't evil, you see, they are just the consequence for the Newbie's actions. Then the Ghost lets Newbie reset. True reset, bringing back all of their friends. Now imagine that the more powerful being stays within the Newbie, and make them kill all their friends over and over again. Then Ghost helps free Newbie, and Newbie frees their friends again. Then Newbie chooses something different. They have all their friends stay, and don't free them. Now they don't auto Reset. Imagine that all? And then realize that what I just told you is the truth, and that I am Newbie, and Flowey was Evil. Let's call the powerful presence 'Player'. That's what happened. And Sans... poor Sans... he was forced to remember every single reset. I think that's what happened. He thought that I had started again. I think."
