Darkness
The only way to describe my death,
is darkness
A simple word
That’s thrown away too often
Has earned a brand new meaning
Darkness
It may sound sad to you
but for me, it’s nothing new
Darkness
Started spreading through my veins
Since your thorns first stabbed me
Years ago
It dragged me down
Like quicksand
I tried my hardest to get out
But now it has enveloped me
All light
Gone out of sight
It’s hard to win a battle against darkness
You can’t outwit it with brains
Or fight it with muscles
It”ll beat you
no matter what
It’ll chew you up
And spit you out
Then leave you there
to die
