Jamie's POV:
After what seemed like forever, we finally arrived at our new house.
It was 6am, so I was pretty tired.
When I stepped out of the car, Brian came bursting out of the house, his arms spread wide.
"Jamie! Baby sister! I missed you!" he said loudly, enveloping me in a hug.
I wearily hugged back and tried to stifle a yawn. Brian noticed and frowned.
"You look really tired, do you want to go take a nap?" he suggested.
I shook my head. "I slept in the car for a little while, I'll be fine" I insisted.
Brian shrugged and went to greet our parents.
While he did so, I got my first good look at our new house. It was a big white two-storey, with a brown wooden door, big windows and a nice garden. I liked it already.
I heard my parents calling me to help them unpack, so I stopped gawking at the house and went to help them.
------------
A few hours later, we had finished unpacking the car and taking things into the house. My new room was very nice. It had a big window with a nice view, and I wasted no time hanging up all of my posters and photos on the wall.
"Jamie! Brian! I have food!" Mom yelled. I heard Brian's bedroom door open quickly and footsteps race down the stairs.
I mimicked his actions, sliding into the kitchen just moments after him.
We greedily scoffed down the pizza on the table. It wasn't a very healthy breakfast, but who cares. It's pizza.
"Sho Mo, cansh I tooks Jamie to met the bows lasher towday?" Brian asked with a mouthful of pizza
I looked at him in disgust. So did Mom.
"Brian, you're old enough to know to swallow your food before talking" she reprimanded
Brian sheepishly gulped down his pizza.
"I was wondering if I could take Jamie to meet the boys later on" he repeated.
Mom pursed her lips. "That should be ok" she said after a moment of thought.
Brian turned to me. "So, you ready to meet the others?" he asked me with a grin on his face.
"Sure" I shrugged.
-----------
"Ok, so we're going to Kevin's" Brian cheerfully said as he drove out of the driveway.
I didn't respond as I looked out the window at all the new sights that I would have to get used to.
Soon we pulled up to a rather big and beautiful house. I was nervous. I wasn't very good at meeting new people. Brian was the more social and outgoing one. Maybe I could fake being sick and Brian would be forced to bring me home.
Brian seemed to know what I was thinking as he walked round to my side of the car, opened the door, picked me up and slung me over his shoulder.
I shrieked. Loudly.
"BRIAN! PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW!" I yelled and beat his back with my fists.
He ignored my shouting and kicked open the front door.
"BRIAN!" I continued to squeal.
Once we had reached the place where Brian wanted to go, he put me down. I vaguely sensed 4 other people in the room, but I ignored them as my face turned red with anger and I began to yell at my brother.
"What was that for you idiot? Trying to carry me with your little stick arms, you could've dropped me!" I yelled.
"Enough with the attitude Jamie" he said sternly.
"You're not Dad! And besides, I don't have an attitude problem, YOU have a perception problem" I retorted. I heard several guffaws and chuckles come from behind me, as well as a whispered "Burn!" but I tuned them out.
Brian's face was red now, and his nostrils were flaring slightly, a sign that he was angry and embarrassed.
"There's only one thing that keeps me from breaking you in half right now" he hissed
"What, your new friends?"
"No, it's the fact that I don't want two of you around!"
"Ok girls, settle down" a new voice entered the arguement. We both turned to see Kevin, my cousin who I hadn't seen in a long time.
"Kevinn!" I squealed, giving him a big hug. Brian snorted. "Well, look at you, aren't you a big girl now. You've grown since the last time I saw you. How old are you now?" he asked warmly.
"I turned 12 in February!" (A/N Jamie's birthday is the 13th of February 1981... just a heads up :D )
"Ah, that's right. Now, let's introduce you to the others" he said.
This was the moment I had been dreading.
I slowly turned around to see 3 boys, two older than me and one looking around my age.
"Jamie, this is AJ" Kevin said pointing to a boy with cool sunglasses on. "I like your sunglasses" I said shyly as I shook his hand. He laughed. "And I like your wit, you're feisty" he said back. I smiled and moved onto the next boy who introduced himself as Howie. I liked him immediately. He reminded me of myself in a way. Finally we moved onto the last boy. He had blonde hair and lovely blue eyes.
"Hi, I'm Nick" he smiled and held out his hand, blue eyes sparkling. "Jamie" I said simply.
Brian walked over to us. "You know Jamie, Nick is only a year older than you, I think you'd get along with each other pretty well" he remarked.
I shrugged. "We'll see" I said. I saw that Nick was still staring at me. "Are you ok?" I asked.
He seemed to snap out of it. "Sorry, it's just that you're really pretty" he mumbled. I blushed at the compliment. Kevin, AJ and Howie began to snigger, throwing each other knowing looks. Only Brian looked annoyed. "Well, thanks, I guess" I muttered back.
Nick was flushed pink now. "Shut up" he hissed at the others, hitting them on the shoulders as an attempt to get them to stop. Which of course lead to all 5 of them participating in a wrestling match.
I rolled my eyes as I looked on.
Boys will be boys.
Jamie's finally met the boys! And Nick calling Jamie pretty! Hmm...
Don't forget to vote!
Continue to be amazing!
Byee :))
