Lab Log 25, 16/4/23, AE1900, Atlanta CDC: Subject Breached Containment. That's The 4th Time The Security Has Failed. If This Keeps Happening We'll Be Forced To Leave.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a rainy day in the city of Cambridge. Troy called an assembly in the middle of the park. The S.A.S, U.S and The Soviets were the priority."I Have Gathered You All On This Shitty Day Because It's Time To Plan Our Next Move. It's Been Almost A Year Since The Outbreak. Me And Alyssa Have Discussed Our Next Move, Which'll Be The CDC Containment. We Need To Plan Approach, Attack And Defence. We Also Need To Discuss Who Does What. Yorke, Me, Alyssa, Sergeant Fox And Commander Richnikov Will Go Through The Main Gate. Jordyn, Amy, Andrew And McCallister, Go Through The Back Gate. If We Successfully Take Over The Lab, We'll Have A Perfect Life Over There. It Has Its Own Farm Land, Food Production Stations, Laundering Stations And So On. It's Got It's Own Power And Water Supply Too. All We Need To Do Is Take Over And Activate Them All. Until We're Back Everyone Else Stays." Troy says, in a highly confident voice.
Alyssa speaks up to back him up.
"Until We're Back, Lieutenant White Is In Charge. The Russians, Be On Combat Standby. We'll Radio You If We Need Assistance."
The crowd cheers. Troy, Alyssa, Yorke, Jordyn, Andrew, Amy and the rest of the crew walk over to their makeshift War Room, where they have a sketch of the lab drawn out.
"Jordyn You Lead Your Crew Through This Gate Here. You See The Wall Around The Building? It's Around 25 Feet Tall, Though It Should Be Weak. If You Can't Get In Through The Gate, Ram An LAPV Through The Wall. My Crew, We'll Go In Through This Gate Here. It's Electrified, But The Power Is Hopefully Off, So We Should Be Able To Just Climb It." Troy explains, scribbling their movements on the map.
"What About This Enterance Opposite The Parking Lot? Can We Go That Way?" Yorke asks.
"No, It's Heavily Infested. Avoid That Area Until Power Is Back On." Troy replies.
"Understood Sir." Yorke responds.
"Man, I Can't Even Remember Our Last Siege." Yorke says, frowning.
"It's Because We Never Had One. There Was One Coming Up On A Possible Terrorist Plot, But Shit Went Down Almost A Week Prior." Troy says.
"Well Shit. I Missed My Opportunity." Yorke replies.
"Yeah Kid, You Did, Haha" Troy says in a friendly and laughing manner.
"These Plans Shouldn't Fail. I'm Sure They Won't Too." Troy says.Yorke looks at Jordyn. They all look around at each other with the 'Lets Do This' look.
"Okay, Time For Training. I'm Hosting The Last Hand To Hand And Firearm Training Tomorrow Before The Siege. Come Down If You Want." Troy says.
Everyone leaves but Troy and Alyssa.
"We're Risking Our Lives Again." Alyssa claims.
"I Know We Are, But I'm Doing This For The People Of New Hope. I Don't Want Anyone Getting Hurt Or Dying, Especially You." Troy says.
Alyssa hugs him.
"Thank You.." she says in an enthusiastic voice.
"...I Love You Troy."
"I.. I Love You Too" Troy responds.They are about to kiss when Lieutenant Fox busts in to the tent.
"Hey Guys, Biters At The Gate, A Shit Ton Of Them. Admiral We Need Assistance Taking Them Down." Fox says.
"Alright, Alyssa, Go To The Barracks And Get Ready In Case We Have To Go." Troy commands.
"I Got It" she responds.Troy grabs his HMG and walks to the gate with Fox.
"When Did They Get There?" Troy asks.
"Just Now. The Cheering During The Assembly Must've Brought The Over. There Has To Be At Least 500 Out There." Fox says.
"Dammit. Just Spray Into The Horde." Troy says.They start opening fire, and mowing down the crowd of the once Cambridge University students, Civilians and Soldiers. It was then Troy realised that there is a large bag on the back of a military communications officer's body.
"Cover Me, I'm Going To Get That Bag." Troy shouts.
He jumped down into the crowd of undead and retrieves the bag. The bag contained unused military incendiary Ammunition, armor piercing Ammunition and a radio set, which still worked. They plugged the radio in, and went to a military transmission signal.
"72 Hours... Bombing... U.S Army... Nuclear... Houston... Boston... Cambridge..." and then it cut off.
Knowing they only had 3 days, Troy trained his crew and Jordyn's crew to their max potential.
