Narrator: After training, and learning on how to use the mace in combat, hours passed and the sun was getting ready to go down. Daiki, lead his students outside of the palace, and back towards the horses.
Daiki: You've all done well with training today, but so far we won't be doing any missions tomorrow. Chikako: Why not, general? Daiki: Because tomorrow is day, so you'll have to get each other gifts for the occasion. Hanako: I don't know what to get everyone else. I've been spending so much time with Sonjo, that I haven't really been on any other missions with the others. I just know I'm going to be a terrible influence tomorrow if I don't give them gifts.
Narrator: As Hanako, Renjiro, and Daiki got on their horses, they returned to the fruit farm, where they would eat dinner that night. Daiki got off of his horse, and then went over to the door. Yuri opened it just as they arrived. Yuri: Oh, you've returned home early. Perhaps the missions were short today after completing them.
Daiki: Well we had to go, and visit my old master, so Hanako would be a better samurai. Her animal spirit is a golden eagle. Yuri: Well that's glad to hear. Well we better get ready for tonight's dinner. Daiki: Young one, go and put the horses in the stables, while I help your mother with dinner. Hanako: Yes, Father. Narrator: Hanako did as her father instructed, and placed the horses back in the stables, while the others were inside. Afterwards, Hanako decided to do something about Yūjō Day.
Hanako: I want to do something special for the other students in my class, but I don't have enough yen to purchase anything. I'll have to make something in for everyone. I better see if I have anything from Mother's art set. Narrator: Hanako finished closing the stables so the horses wouldn't escape, she returned into the house and went over to the supply room to find her mother's art supplies. After finally getting the supplies, Hanako closed the supply room doors, and went to her room to work on something. Hanako: Now, what should I make for everyone. Narrator: As Hanako started thinking, Yuri came into her room before she could begin with anything. Yuri: Hanako-Chan, what are you up too? Your father is already picking fruit outside.
Hanako: I'm trying to figure out what to make for my classmates for Yūjō Day tomorrow, but I can't seem to find out what to make. I'm not sure what I can do, Mother. I've been so passionate towards Sonjo, that I haven't spent any time with the others. Yuri: It's a good thing you don't know a very talented artist like your mother. If it is that much trouble for you to come up with something. I suggest you make them both cards. Hanako: Cards? What would they want to do with tiny paper rectangles, Mother? Yuri: Not those kind of cards, Hanako-Chan. If it helps, I shall show you what I am trying to explain.
