-Aurelia-
I awoke the next morning with an empty feeling in the pit of my stomach. William's arm was wrapped snuggly around me. In all honesty it felt like a dream. Just yesterday I was afraid I would never see William again. Just yesterday I found out about the life I had lost. Slowly I began to sit up in the bed. The movement woke him up and he immediately placed his hand on back assisting me the rest of the way. "Aurelia darling you really need to rest." I smiled at him. "I know William but I feel so useless just sitting here. Surely walking a little will make me feel better. And some food. I'm starving." I threw my legs over the side of the bed and attempted to stand. Just as I was about to fall down William pulled me up by my waist. "I really wish you would rest. However, I know you don't like to be waited on. Let's go to the dining room. I'm sure everyone will be happy to see your okay."I nodded and be braced me by putting one arm around my waist. Walking wasn't that bad at the moment I just felt really wobbly. I nestled myself into William's shoulder as I walked. "I love you. Thank you so much for being there for me." He pulled me closer to him. "You should know better than to think I wouldn't be Aurelia. I caused you so much pain lately. I don't deserve you really." I stopped and pulled away from him. "William. Don't say things like that. You have been there for me through all of this. That alone means the world to me. Wait...where is your mask?" He just smiled at me and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "Don't concern yourself with that. I don't need it anymore." I just looked at him and smiled. We began walking down the hall once more.
"Is Mimosa here? I would like to see her." He chuckled slightly. "You have became really close with her haven't you? No she isn't. She is gone with the Black Bulls on a mission. She should be back soon though." I nodded as we entered the dining area and he helped me to my chair. No sooner than I sat I was immediately bombarded with questions and people surrounding me. I looked to the far end of the room to see Patry, Rhya, Vetto, and Fana. I waved at them gently and they all gave me a smile. "Aurelia, Captain." I looked up to see Langris approach us. "Yes, Langris?" William said. I could tell he knew I was nervous.
"First off I would like to apologize to you Aurelia. I was very aggressive and hateful to you and no excuse could justify my actions. That being said. I would like to relinquish my title as Vice Captain of the Golden Dawn." We all looked at him surprised. "I want Yuno to become the Vice Captain. If that's alright with you Captain." William just looked at him dumbfounded. He didn't know what to say. I stood up from my chair slowly and stood in front of Langris. "I forgive you." He looked at me almost unbelievably. "You do?" I simply nodded. "Yes I do. Look at everything we've lost. We can't spend our life holding meaningless grudges against each other. We have to move on sometime right. I'm proud of you Langris. It takes a whole lot of willpower to admit that you were wrong and to ask for forgiveness." Langris just smiled at me and held out his hand. "Your too kinda Aurelia. I look forward to working with you in the future." Reaching out I shook his hand. Perhaps this was the start of something new for the Golden Dawn. I glanced at William and he smiled gently placing a hand on my shoulder.
After that everyone went about their way. I ate breakfast with William and the others. I absolutely loved how open they were with the captain. They didn't judge him based on his scar. It made me happy. Afterwards William escorted me back to my room. There in the middle of the bed was a medium sized box. "Ahh I see that it finally arrived. Go on open it." I could hear excitement in his voice. I briskly walked over to the bed and took the box in my hands. I made quick work of the ribbon and opened the lid. Inside was a beautiful dress! It was red and white and had a corset back. It was absolutely beautiful. There beneath the dress was a matching choker. I turned slowly and William was already right behind me. He took my face in his hands and kissed me softly. My arms snakes around his neck and his went down to my waist. I pull away slowly and look into his purple eyes. "Happy birthday my love." A gasp escaped my lips. "How...how did you know?" He caresses my cheek with his hand and gently kissed my forehead. "Julius told me. I'm going to send someone in here to help you put that on. I'll come by and get you shortly." I tried to stop him as he walked out of the room but I failed in doing so. I turned back to admire the dress.
Shortly after a knock sounded throughout the room. I opened the door and in walked someone I definitely didn't expect to see. "Nebra Silva? What are you doing here?" She walked past me and picked up the dress off of the bed and walked into my bathroom. "Captain Vangeance begged my brother for my help. I decided to put them both out of their misery and just agree. What are you standing there for? Come on we've not got all day!" She reaches for my wrist and pulled me into the room. She ushered me to take my clothes off and she began to pull at my ponytail. My blonde hair cascaded down my back. "You've already got natural curls! That makes me job so much easier." I just chuckled and slid my legs through the dress and pulled it up past my torso. She began to tighten the dress, making sure it fit snug. "Aurelia... is it true that you went all the way back to your homeland to seek aid for us?" I nodded and I felt arms wrap around my shoulders. "Thank you. Those elves were much stronger than even us royalty. And to have someone who didn't even have a place in the fight care for us... well it means a lot. If I do say so myself Captain Vangeance is a lucky man. Here sit down so I can fix your hair." I walked out of the bathroom and sat in front of my vanity. "Can I ask you something and expect an honest answer?" I nodded quickly. "My sister, Noelle. Do you think she will ever forgive us for the way we treated her?" I pondered for a moment before I answered. "I think she will. Despite it all you are still family. She was able to forgive Nozel and work alongside him during the elven invasion. What would stop her from forgiving you all?" I saw a smile flash across her face in the reflection of my vanity. One last pin was put in my hair and she stepped back. "One last thing and then we're done." She walked over to my bed and grabbed the choker. She placed it around my neck and snapped it right in place. I slowly got up and put my shoes on. Nebra already had the door held open for me and we began to walk down the hallway. There in the foyer stood William. He was dressed in his captains attire as usual but for some reason he looked way more attractive to me. He turned and immediately a blush spread across his cheeks. "Aurelia...you look... beautiful." Nebra laughed beside me. "Of course she does Captain Vangeance. She did have my help after all. You two lovebirds enjoy yourselves! Don't have too much fun!" She walked away and met her brother who stood at the entrance of the building. William made his way to me and took my hand in his. He gently kissed my hand. "William. Where are we going?" I began to walk next to him through the foyer. "I am taking my beautiful girlfriend out to dinner for her birthday." I smiled as big as I could and kissed him swiftly on the cheek. This would technically be our first date and honestly that excited me more than I could say.
