Lovers in trouble

Em sat by her desk in class and she was earlier than usual. However, she wasn't the only one there. Some uninvited guests had found their way into the classroom.
A girl chewing gum pulled out a chair and sat down in front of Em. There are rumors going around that you made out with Johnny in the hallways yesterday. She said chewing her gum and observing Em. Before she had the chance to reply Veronica walked into the room. As she walked towards where Em was sat her heels made a clicking sound. Crossing her arms she hunched over Em and pushed her lightly.
Now you're the loser and these are my new friends Veronica said. You airhead Em muttered.
What was that? Veronica said leaning closer.
It was the sound of me ordering you and your so-called friends to leave this room Mr. Smith said as he walked inside the classroom.
As they left Em let out a sigh of relief.
No need to thank me Mr. Smith said and winked.

After class Em went looking for Johnny. As she walked out to the schoolyard she saw him sit by the large tree behind the school. Hey, Johnny, she said and laid her hand on top of his as they made eye contact. Have you heard the rumors? He asked. Em slowly nodded and replied; Let's not make it a bigger thing by reacting though. You're right he replied silently and carefully observed her. I just don't care about what people say or think anymore. Em said and grabbed Johnny's hand. He glanced at their intertwined hands and let out a sigh.

As Johnny put his books in his locker a guy from his class lightly bumped into him.
Hey sorry, man! I was just gonna ask you something the guy said and followed with; Prom is soon so I would advise that you don't get distracted. Your girl could get stolen by me. I'm planning to invite her to go with me to prom. Johnny stood still just staring at him for a while before letting out a chuckle. You're ridiculous man he replied and started to walk away. The guy followed him and said; I'm serious! Just watch he said and took off his sunglasses. He walked over to Em and tilted against the locker beside her.
Hey, there baby, you're coming with me to prom. Whatcha say? he asked and looked her up and down. Em started to feel uncomfortable. She turned on the heel and went to the cafeteria with Johnny. The guy was left standing there which made him look like a straight-up fool.

After school, Johnny and Em decided to go to the park to spend some quality time with each other. They watched as kids were running around playing tag. The children's laughter added to the mood.
You'll be going to the prom right? Johnny asked as he chewed on a wooden toothpick.
Yes but only if I go with you she replied.
You'll be my prom date then, awesome.
She noticed that there was something on his mind. She wasn't sure what though.
You alright John? She asked.
I'm fine just aggravated still because of that emulated guy. He just wants to be a tough guy but he just knows how to speak but he doesn't know how to handle things, he's fake Johnny replied. I know forget about him okay? I love you and I would never fall for a fool like him.
A smile of relief spread across Johnny's face.
He knew that Em would never betray him but seeing someone other than him flirting with her made him a little jealous.
Let's just hope this prom won't be utter chaos with all the douche bags we got in this school. If people are being embarrassing we'll just pretend it's just you and me on the dance floor Johnny said.
That's a great idea I mean I'm not surprised if it all goes to hell. Let's be optimistic though maybe it'll be great.
Maybe just maybe Johnny uttered grabbing Em's hand.

They exited the park and walked their separate ways. Finally, Em could have a real weekend for once. There was no assignment nor upcoming tests she could do whatever she wanted to. Then a thought struck her, she had no friends to talk to anymore. Of course, she was pleased to have someone like Johnny but she didn't have a female to gossip to or talk about the newest hair products with.
She laid on her bed and read a vogue magazine when suddenly someone knocked on her window.
Carefully she opened the window and looked outside, there was no one there.
Down here! Johnny said. He fell straight into her bed and his hair was an utter mess.
Hey, don't be so loud! My mom is awake and she will literally kill me if she finds out there's a guy in my room Em stressed. Hey, hey relax I'm not a murderer Johnny said leaning closer to kiss Em. Em got away and crossed her arms.
Then Johnny grabbed the some of her magazines and looked through them.
You gotta know that I'm better than those guys yah know, Johnny said flirtatiously.
You dork she replied and pecked his lips.
The best dork is saying it more accurately.
The door knocked and Em's mom yelled; Are you with someone?
Just the radio mom! Em said in panic waving her hand at Johnny to climb out the window.
Em opened her door quickly and grabbed the dinner mom cooked for her then quickly shut the door.
That was a close one Johnny said climbing back in.

Em turned on the radio and it played some old-fashioned music. She rolled her eyes and giggled at Johnny when he lipsynced to the music. He started singing to it and Em covered his mouth. Johnny grabbed her by the waist and danced with her. She couldn't keep herself from laughing and wrinkles of joy formed under her eyes every time she smiled.
After the dance, both of them collapsed into her bed. That was fun they said at the same time then looked at each other and giggled.

Em woke up with a headache and neck pain.
Good morning beloved Johnny said and smirked playfully. She got surprised that Johnny still was in her room so she sat up.
Then all of a sudden the door flung open.
Em's mom didn't look happy at all when she saw her daughter and a boy sit on the bed.
You have been grounded Em! Her mom yelled and Johnny quickly jumped out of the window and ran home. Sighing she locked herself in her room, disappointed that she was all alone again. She heard mom talk in the phone downstairs and figured she was talking about what she just witnessed. I just don't get it Em said to herself.
Then she got the brilliant idea to climb out of her window and into Johnny's room.
Johnny was lying in his bed with his portable tv on his belly and had headphones in. He got startled when he heard Em crash into his room.
You got grounded, get it? Johnny said and looked down at Em on the floor.
Very funny Johnny! She said and laid down next to him. He kissed her forehead and put all his tech stuff away.
So about school uh- Johnny said and got interrupted.
I don't want to talk about school or friends right now Em said and frowned. They both went silent and stared down at the floor.
At least we have each other Em. Em smiled and rested her head against his shoulder.
I'm very lucky to have you she replied.
Then the calm atmosphere lingered for a while until they heard footsteps coming towards the door.
I know your girlfriend is over Johnny go out and do something, go to the mall it's the weekend Johnny's mom said.

Johnny and Em entered the mall when Veronica and her friends approached them. It was too late to in any way avoid them.
Well, look who we got here! Veronica said and grinned. The girl chewing gum observed Johnny and started to grin.
Hot boyfriend you got birdbrain she said.
Quickly they walked into the nearest boutique. They hid behind some lingerie which made Johnny's face go red when he realized.
Why are you hiding? Veronica asked approaching them.
Look we're just trying to shop go bother someone else Em said with an irritated tone.
Just like that Veronica, the gum chewer, and their gang took off. Johnny and Em shrugged then continued walking through the mall.
They entered Hot Topic.
Hey man! the guy who was working there said. They high fived and chest bumped.
Do you know each other? Em asked and was struggling to hold her laughter in.
Yea we sure do we've known each other since kindergarten the hot topic guy said. Em nodded and read his nametag 'Robin. Well, it's nice to meet you, Robin, she said as they shook hands.
As Johnny and Robin continued to chat Em looked around the store. There were CD's, clothes and all kinds of stuff. At the corner of her eye, she saw someone approach her. The person grabbed her hand and looked straight into her ocean eyes.
You again! Em uttered. It was the guy who "invited" her to prom at school later that day.
Johnny turned around and both of them furrowed their brows in unison.
Stop talking to my girl, will you? Johnny said approaching the guy.
How about no? The guy said and pulled Em closer. She pushed him away and he fell to the ground. She opened her mouth to say something but quickly closed it. The guy got up and walked away while mumbling some words.
Gosh, will I ever get that guy off my back? Em complained. I'll make sure he'll never see the light of day again Johnny said and rolled up his sleeves. Woah I don't want you to fight him baby. I couldn't stand seeing your pretty face get a bruise. He smirked playfully and kissed her cheek.

Bushes with spikes made them struggle to climb up his window. After several attempts, Johnny managed to get up. He helped Em get through the window and she fell on top of him in his bed. She rolled down beside him in his bed and let out a sigh of relief.
Totally worth it huh? Johnny said and smiled. Totally, She giggled as she removed a twig from his poofy hair.
On the other side of the street, they heard faint wailing. It was hard to make out the words until someone violently knocked on the door downstairs. Johnny and Em looked carefully in panic through the window.
It's my mom I'm so dead Em said.
Oh no Johnny uttered and his face indicated a feeling of tension.

I know! This was so long but it was fun to write!
