The Necromancer had been reading, books upon books upon books looking for answers. He had knowledge that a weapon had been found, a real weapon, that could kill him. He was terrified. He had been searching for weeks for this so called weapon with no luck. He had gone to many witches but all of them had told him the same thing, "once it has come into possession by a person who would like to use it to kill you, it will guide you to it". Odd he thought that the one blade that can kill him will most literally attract him towards it, but it didn't cross his mind since he wanted it so badly.
Days later He had found out a man named, Kai Parker, had been released from a -no magic- prison world with the weapon. The Necromancer did research on kai and realized it would be too dangerous for him or chad to go after him. Kai was strong, and had cheated death before. What were the odds he'd do it again. He couldn't risk it. The weapon would weaken him the closer he got to it. so being alaric was the first person (and trustworthy though he'd never admit it) to be seen in days, he decided to ask for a favor
