Friends' Lives (Sam & Dean Winchester)

Chapter 30

A couple days after Jass has found out she is pregnant, Sam wants to go out with Ray, or at least that's what he has told her. He has something much bigger planned.

She doesn't mind though, she got all dressed up in a flowy red dress and he wore a nice, fitting black suit. He has taken her out to dinner first, he seems a little off this evening but she brushes it off.

She is a bit confused when he told her there is somewhere else he wants to take her but she gladly follows him anyways.

Here they are now, in a car to this mystery place with Sam's fingers are intertwined with Rays as he drives. "Just give me one hint!" She begs him, wanting to know where they're going. Sam chuckles softly and rubs his thumb across her palm. "Be patient, we'll get there soon enough." He answers her with a smile.

Sam is driving to a little cabin his parents have because of his uncle Bobby, Sam knows Ray loves this cabin. So he has decided this might be the best place to ask her, they could stay there after she, hopefully has said yes, and they could have a beautiful night together.

Sam pulls up to the little spot, he has prepared the day earlier with Dean. It's a little beautiful way in the woods, which Ray and him think is beautiful.

He turns off the engine and smiles at Ray, which she returns. "Where are we going?" she asks excitedly. "You'll see, Ray." He tells her happily and she pouts slightly, wanting to know where they're going.

Sam gets out of the car and walks to Ray's side to help her out. He smiles at her and pecks her lips softly as she looks at him.

He takes her hand and covers her eyes with his free hand, "I have a surprise for you." He tells her and he feels the smile against his hand. "Okay." she says, her voice full of excitement.

Sam smiles to himself and walks to the the real spot he has prepared for her. He stops and she frowns slightly, "Why are we stopping?" she asks him. "Ray why are you so impatient?" Sam asks her with a little laugh.

She giggled softly, "Sorry." she says and Sam pulls his hand away but her eyes are still closed. "Don't open your eyes until I say so." He says as he gets the ring out of his pocket and gets on one knee.

"Open your eyes." Sam tells her softly and she does so. Her eyes widen and he takes her hand in his as he open the velvet box with his other hand. "I love you Ray, I ever did. D-Do you wanna marry me?" he asks her.

Her heart almost skips a beat at Sam on one knee in front of her, asking her to marry him. She feels tears flood her eyes quickly and she covers her mouth with her free hand as she gasps.

"Y- Yes, Yes!" She exclaims and nods as tears stream down her face. He feels himself tearing up as well, overwhelming joy coursing through him as he hears her say yes. He slides the ring into her link finger and gives her hand a small kiss as he stands up.

As soon as he's on his own two feet they both pull each other into a tight hug, Ray sobbing into her now fiancés shoulder. Sam feels his own tears build up and fall onto Rays shoulder as he holds her tighter than he ever has.

He cups her cheek and gives her a happy smile. "I'm so happy you said yes." He cries out and pulls her into a loving kiss.

She kisses him back and feels her heart flutter, feeling closer to him than ever before. She can't believe she's going to be Sam's wife. The thought makes her smile into the kiss, Sam returning the same smile.

He pulls away from the kiss and kisses her forehead lovingly, "I love you so much." He tells her and she smiles softly at him as another happy tear rolls down her cheek.
