Katrina was in the West household, as Barry had asked her to come over and help him, Iris and Joe decorate for Christmas, hoping it would lift her spirits as she was having a tough time with the holidays. Katrina always had a hard time with Christmas, it reminded her of the family she never had, but every year when she lived with Bruce he would spoil her, trying to make her happy, but it never worked.
She smiled as Barry handed Joe ornaments that he was currently putting on the tree, "There's only two boxes left" Joe tells Barry, "Well, at this rate, we'll be finished by Easter" Barry says to him and Joe chuckles as he looks at Barry.
Barry looks up at Joe and they can see a thought has come across his mind, "Don't do it Barry" Katrina says as Barry then gets up from the couch and speeds around the room, and he decorated the tree using his speed. He then sits right back down on the couch beside Katrina smiling at her.

"Okay, the only red-suited dude I want in this house right now is Kris Kringle, you got it?" Joe whispers at him. Barry just looks at Joe as he gets back up and undecorates the tree, sighing as he sits back down. Joe puts his hand out and Katrina starts passing him ornaments, "Uh, these ornaments are not gonna hang themselves" Iris says as she comes into the room a tray of four mugs in her hand, she starts to pass them around, "Grandma Esther's recipe" she says as she passes Barry his, "Light on the bourbon" "Thank You" Barry says to her. "Thanks Iris, and thank you again for having me here" Katrina says as she takes a sip of the drink.
"It's no problem Katrina, mmm" Joe says as he takes a sip of his drink, "I always loved her definition of 'light;" he adds as he takes his ringing cell phone out of his pocket. "And the Christmas tradition continues" he says as he answers the phone, "Detective West, yeah....all right" he says as he then ends the call. "Sorry kids, DA wants to ask me some questions. Make sure there's some nog left for me when I get back" he says to them as he makes his way out of the house. "No promises" Barry says quietly.
Once Joe leaves Iris grabs the remote and shuts the tv off, and takes Barry's mug, "What's going on?" Katrina asks her confused. "Sorry, about this Katrina. Come on" she says pulling Barry off the couch and onto the floor. "Come on, we're doing this already? Christmas isn't for a few days" Barry says to Iris, as she takes a present out from under the tree.
"I couldn't wait any longer, here" she says passing a present to Barry. "Okay, you okay with us doing this?" Barry ask looking up at Katrina. "No, you guys have your fun" she says as she drinks some more egg nog.
