— Decomposition: A Love Story —
And with time
our poison laced love
asphyxiated the best parts
of our hearts —
so we made do
offering each other
the most rotten, putrid
parts of ourselves instead.
It was only until we
turned to ash that we stopped,
and like ash,
we carried off
on winds set in
different directions.
