A/N: My teacher gave us an assignment today: we have to write an article. While she was deciding the topic on which we would present our ideas, one of my classmates (loudly) reminded us that another classmate (who happens to be his good friend) would celebrate his birthday tomorrow. A lightbulb went off in our teacher's head and she asked us to write an article about an imaginary situation where we celebrate his birthday. At that time, I was delighted by the prospect of this innovative topic, but when I picked up a pen, the only thing that floated in my mind was: #$^%!
Before me was a teeny-tiny, eeny-weeny issue- though I have been his classmate for nearly a year now, I never bothered to actually know him. So, how do I write anything? Tears well up in the eyes of most, but as I might have mentioned before, I am unique. So, here's a poem...Before moi lies a riddle I must ponder about.
It seems inscrutable, but it's still easier than fishing for trout.
I must write a story about my classmate.
But on my head lies the weight
That of him my knowledge is rather scanty.
He is tall, but I don't think of him as dandy.
Like all other men, he has a puffed up sense of pride
And like us, by his own rules does he abide.
It is not the first time that I find myself devoid of words,
So I'll just go and find that which strums my violin chords.
