Through the glass of a window, a group of teenagers sat around a table. At the first glace it looks innocent. Just friends hanging out inside a small cafe, but if you look closer you notice things. Things you wouldn't see at a quick glance.

Your first thought is correct. They are kids having a good time together. However, what truly appears is an unspoken agreement.

An agreement in which two of the boys like each other. It spread through the rest of them like a match thrown on gasoline. They are all aware of this secret. They all know the boys take a liking to each other. Yet, they both are ignorant of each others feelings. It makes the rest of them confused. Wondering if they should either laugh or cry.

William and Tom, of course are blind to the fact that all this turmoil is happening to the teens around them. This entire day they've just been bickering back and forth like an old married couple. Not noticing that their friends desperately want to scream at them to just kiss already, but know they can't. Because they know how hard it is for the boys to handle their emotions in an everyday setting. To yell and accuse them of liking each other would just make them shut down, and pretend like everythings fine. Act as if they don't have feelings for each other that are more than platonic. Anyone with two eyes and a brain can see they are romantically inclined towards one another. Whether they look on in admiration, envy, or most unfortunately disgust. This era not in favor for the idea of people of two boys being in love. However, the teens around the table do not express the same sentiment. Especially the ones raised in the wizarding world. Here love is celebrated no matter who it's shared between.

Love is a sacred type of magic. Once someone falls under its spell they can never go back. No matter the circumstances, you can never hate the person you've fallen for. Even if the love becomes tainted, the memories last forever, love stuck in the past. Bittersweet to remember what once was. It's a dangerous thing, but too beautiful that you can't help but take the risk. Maybe thats why William is afraid. He's lived so many years of his life believing emotions would get him no where. That they were just a hinderance stopping him from doing what he does best. Solving hundreds of crimes without letting the particularly heavy ones effect him. Instead he'd rather deal with his problems in an unhealthy way. His father treading the same path. It's a familiar place for the two of them. A unusual comfort. However, for Tom it's different. He grew up in a place where weakness brings discipline. Where you get teased for being emotional. If it be physical or mental torment. So he had to change his demeanor. He had to become cold and collected, and not show how he truly felt.

It worked so long he started to feel numb. Emotionless. It all changed when he met William, and it's as if he never closed himself off at all. At first he wasn't thrilled about the idea because he was vulnerable. He hated it. Then he realized it wasn't such a bad thing. He felt human again. Infatuation gave him freedom, and he likes the feeling.

Although, trying to get William to open up to him hasn't been easy, and he still hasn't achieved his goal. All he wants to know is if the boy likes him back. But it appears to not be as simple of a task as he thought. Will is worse off than himself. He's excellent at concealing his emotions. It's going to take a long time for Tom to fully understand all of William, and what makes him so unique. But he's determined to figure the boy out. He is a slytherin after all.

No one at the table misses the smile Tom gives the genius when his back is turned. William converses with Walburga. Unaware of how cute the action behind his back was. The other teens internally scream. Wishing the boy would've saw the look of adoration he just got.

Is it to early too plan their wedding? They all thought.
