Elds

Oh, young mind,
How wonderful your pathetic dream is!
Look at those airplanes,
You wonder how far up you can fly.
Spot that boat,
You find it enthralling to sail your own.
Oh, young soul,
I want you to fly so high,
I want to see you fight against the rage of oceans
I want you to be free.
But,
My stubborn and silly child,
This World doesn't work that way.
See those people?
They once had a dream like yours.
They also walked on the path you want to choose,
But lived their lives hiding.
So you should know,
Defiance is not a right thing.
There are rules and endings;
You won't be able to survive
If you don't stop running.
You want to bend the rules?
Oh, dear,
No.
You bend to the will.
Now, fall on your knees,
And behave.

This poem I made, I actually find it disturbing. However, those words kept repeating over my head since last night and I have to write it.

Like what stated above, I also experienced having the thoughts of being free. But it will only stay as a thought. And I have also personal issues with the elders, that they can't understand what's going on with the youths today, and what they had been through might be different to the future of the children; that their experiences will serve as a lesson, a guide, but not an absolute future. But I think, I don't understand them also. They will say, "I only want the best for you, and I don't want the same thing happen to you," but it doesn't always work the same way.

Sometimes, they can be somewhat suffocating. Some people want to learn on their own—if they make a mistake then they'll take the responsibility and the lesson. There will be regrets, but it doesn't mean that it's always a bad thing, right?

This must be a result of drinking coffee at night for months. Ugh.
