I have been preparing day and night for my medical entrance for almost 3 months, only one day more for the exam.
It's 1 am now I'm still revising, this has been my dream to become a best surgeon "Arghhhhhh I hate exams" i groaned and threw my pen at the corner of the room. I went down to eat something. Maybe a scoop of ice cream will cheer me up.
My daddy was sitting on the couch laying his head on my paa's shoulder. "Daddy" i mumbled rubbing my eyes.
"Baby yo, why aren't you sleeping" paa came to me, daddy was wiping his eyes. "Daddy are you crying?" He smiled and shook his head. "Daddy is just very happy, come here" he took my hand, i sat inbetween my parents.

"We are so proud of your hardwork and determination, but you should take enough rest yo" my daddy brushed my bangs off my forehead.
"Ya, ya i know" i lay my head on daddy and extended my leg to paa's lap. He massaged my legs which was so soothing sending me into deep slumber.
"Are you excited to move in US" i asked them. "We have been there actually" daddy replied.
"Baby yo, one of paa's friend is coming tomorrow to meet you. He is not really a friend, he was bugging paa to finish a deal with him which i wasn't really interested in" paa spoke and tickled my feet.
I laughed and sat up. "Why is he coming to meet me"
"I told him you're preparing for the exam, he just wanted to help you with few tips. He said his son is a part of the board in that university" i don't like where this conversation is heading to.
"Paa is he coming here to help me cheat or something?" I am so surprised. My appa will never do this to the other students who are preparing day and night with absolutely no much resources like i have.
"What? No. I even tried to avoid him but he was so persistent to meet you. You know i will never pull strings" i kissed his cheeks i know.
"You should sleep now yo, enough studies for today" daddy stood up and motioned appa. We three went to their room to spend the night.
"Iron man" i pressed my lucky stuffie to my chest. Will they allow me to take him inside the exam hall? Maybe i should ring the exam centre and ask.
"God yo, when was the last time you washed your iron man?" Appa scrunched his face and made the bed. I shrugged my shoulders "i don't really remember"
"Ewwww, gimme that" appa snatched my stuffie from me and made him sit on the chair. "This goes in the laundry tomorrow oon" he strictly told daddy. Daddy nodded to him and winked his eye at me. I laughed without any sound.
What would i do without my daddy? I don't know if appa was always this strict and daddy the lenient one. The old stories told by the others were totally contradictory.
I tucked myself till my chin and slept. Good sleep after a long time.
The next day morning i got up almost by noon. Uncle yi was waiting down for me.
"Good noon uncle Yi" i served him the cookies daddy gave.
He greeted me back and we started the tuition "you improved a lot after our first class yo, that's all because of your intellectuality. You have a bright future if you don't spoil it yourself" i chuckled at the ending.
Class went smooth, FYI i still don't like Math. I'm enduring this torture to crack the medical exam.
It was the time to meet my paa's friend he mentioned yesterday night. Me and daddy were waiting for him on the couch.
A old aged man not exceeding fifty wearing a navy blue suit entered inside. Daddy waied at the man and gave his usual 'what are you doing look' to me. i greeted the man and he pinched my cheeks in return. I repeat, he pinched my cheeks. Code red, code red. I freakin don't like him.
I controlled my urge to yank away his hand, if not, then my daddy will ground me for life.
"I got something for you young man" he took an a4 size brown cover and extended it to me. I looked at my daddy, he nodded his head approving me to accept the cover.
"Well disciplined good" he shook hands with my daddy and daddy offered him hot drinks with snack.
"Wayo suthiluck" i love when people call me of my full name. He sounded different not to my liking.
"Yes sir" i took a seat next to my daddy.
"In that cover there is a model question paper for the exam that will be conducted tomorrow. It is just the model qn paper so test your preparation and prepare accordingly" he pressed his words like assuring something.
Adults spoke for sometime and he left our house as soon as appa showed up. After having lunch with my family, i again went to self examine my preparation. As a surprise, out of 200 qns 160 of mine were right. Which will earn an enough cut off for me to crack. I will sleep with satisfaction today.
Today is the exam day, Yesterday night i decided not to sleep in my parents room as there are many chances to over sleep. I set my alarm at 6.am for a 10 am exam. I don't want any disturbances. I am not taking any chance. I can't wait to get back to my old lifestyle.

Roaming with my phii and his boyfriend, messing with ai'ming, and most importantly my p'pha, P'pha being a supportive boyfriend he has behaved his best to not disturb me. I miss him so much.
Appa, daddy Forth with Pha was waiting for me down. They wished me each giving a kiss on my forehead.
"I'm so proud of you son" my daddy looked like he is gonna tear up. I hugged his waist and chuckled "daddy, results are not out yet" he combed my hair "i least bother about the result, all that matters to me is your effort"
P'pha was assigned to drive me to the exam centre, his fingers were tapping on the steering wheel in nervousness. "P'pha why are you nervous, i think we have spoke about this. You agreed to come with me to the US"
"That is not what I'm worrying about yo. I'm just nervous for you. Take your examination without any pressure okay? It looks like i might explode at any minute" he sighed.
"You people are reacting too much, this is only an exam" i rolled my eyes.
"During my examination times, i swear i did not even experience 1% of this nervousness" p'pha scratched his hair. Awwww my boyfriend is so cute.
