Henry Lafayette, Pecklebury's town snoop, decided to browse in old Mrs. Lily Hansen's antique bookstore. As his eyes skimmed the book-bindings, his ears caught a whisper from the isle next to him.
A gruff voice commented "I have to admit, it is a quaint little shop. I would have spent hours here as a kid."
The smooth voice of a woman replied, "It is captivating, isn't it? But let us not become sidetracked! It is necessary that the information is in my hands and no-others!"
"I have located it ma'm, why did you think I brought you to the bookstore? I have it from reliable sources that the documents concerning the mansion..."
"Hush! Choose your words carefully Albert! Do not forget we are in public!"
"Begging your pardon, but the pages are in an antique book called 'The Principia'."
"And is the book here?" asked the lady in a hoarse whisper.
"Yes, But it is in the next isle over. By the way, why do you want these papers Miss?"
"Oh," the lady casually said, "my daddy has been sick for some time now. He asked me to find these papers because he accidentally gave them away. You see, he was reading the Principia, his favorite book, when someone knocked on his office door, he used these papers as a bookmark and forgot he put them there. Eventually he donated the book! He asked me to locate the papers, they are very important. Daddy carefully explained how much is at stake if I fail to return them to him."

Henry Lafayette then heard the two comrades meander to a different row of books. His curiosity mounting, he scuttled through the shop in order to remain in hearing range. He caught the Lady in the middle if a sentence.

"...The book Al?"
"Indeed it is ma'm"
"Are the documents inside?" The lady replied in a quivering voice.
"Yes the are!"
"Oh! These documents are worth a fortune....literally! The papers are the the Will and Testament of my Grandmother, she owned a great mansion that is now worth a fortune! these documents make me the legal owner if the mansion!"
"I congratulate you on your find ma'm! But would it be to much trouble if I keep the book? I collect antique books."
"I don't care."
"Would you happen to know what it is about ma'm, you said it was your fathers favorite book, did he talk about it?"
"Oh, yes he did all the time. It is a autobiography of some European."

After this exiting experience, Henry left the bookstore to have his weekly donut with Inspector LeGraund. Suddenly Albert, from the bookstore rushed in! without acknowledging Henry, Albert said
"Inspector! So glad you remembered our meeting, I have the information you wanted, and you wee right! Albert then descriptively related his interaction with the Lady. Upon hearing the story, LeGraund immediately ordered a fellow policeman to arrest the lady!
