I hope you enjoy!
Derek Morgan was the one who found Reid on his kitchen floor, wrists slashed, and dead. He was heartbroken, and paralyzed with sadness, but not surprised. 30-year-old Spencer Reid, the youngest member of the BAU, had been severely depressed for months. The team tried their best to help him, but after no success, they decided it was too late for Reid. Watching the EMTs put Reid's dead body in a bag, Morgan couldn't help but think, was it really too late for Reid?
At the funeral, the team watched solemnly as Derek gave the eulogy he had prepared, and they all thought to themselves, was it really too late for Reid?
When the team got their replacement for Reid, they all were thinking, was it really too late for Reid?
It wasn't until the team took a case in Illinois did they get the answer to the question they had been asking themselves since the death of their beloved teammate. The case they were called for had victims who were being targeted because they all had parents who had at one point in their lives had been in the same mental hospital for severe depression, and they had all gotten through it with help. It was during this case the team realized, it hadn't been too late for Reid, it is never too late for anyone with the right amount of time, effort, commitment, and sincere want to help. They all vowed to themselves from that point forward, if they were ever to encounter someone in need of the same help as Reid, they wouldn't stop helping until they reached success.
This was just a short story if you or a family member are depressed remember there are people who love you and it is never too late!
