As I grew older with my new family I could tell I wasn't the favourite. No one would even look at me except my adopted mother on the first night of my arrival.
My 'mother' said she was a Mightyena from a different part of the world but she stayed here because it looked pleasant and tranquil.
Her name was Rain, despite her gleaming black coat and piercing ruby eyes she was very good natured and she'd always make sure I was ok.
Her mate was called Shadow. He hated me from the very first time he saw me. He said they already had children to look after and I was going to get in the way of them. He also mentioned that my mother died for a reason and Rain should have just left me.
I called Rain mum once, Shadow then violently warned me if I ever call her that again I would have a bite mark to match with the scratch wound. Another time when I asked him a question he blanked me until something snapped in his twisted eyes.
Suddenly he chased me at full speed biting at my legs with no hint of mercy or explanation for what he was doing. Luckily Rain was there to take Shadow down, but it ended up turning into a massive fight injuring both pokemon.
They have two Poochena children together, one girl called Sunny and one boy called Fang.
Fang is exactly like his father selfish, cruel and vile. On the second night of me being in their family he scratched himself deeply, crying that I had done it and, he growled I was a violent pokemon who deserves to die a painful death like my real mother.
Shadow was already edging closer to my defenceless body with anger, which was radiating off of him strongly. Once again Rain came to my rescue in time to find out the truth behind the scratch. Fang didn't get punished for lying about something that important because, Shadow came to his defence explaining that this was all very different and Fang didn't know how to deal with it all.
I never got an apology off of Shadow for nearly killing me but at least I am alive after all the things that has happened in my short life.
Sunny didn't talk to me much but when she did without the influence of Fang she was actually like Rain. She asked me if I was alright many times when no one was around but, when there was she blanked me like I was invisible even though I could be standing right in front of her.
I feel like I'm out of place here. I shouldn't be with these pokemon but who else have I got?
