Krystal POV
We all 3 silently walked through the mountains, the feeling of heavy dread in the air. I looked at Jasper and saw her head was down as she walked. I reached out and laid my hand on her shoulder, making her look at me. I was about to say something when I heard a small snicker. Everyone stopped and looked around.
Tyrian: You're as predictable as she said you were.
Suddenly a tall scorpion faunus jumped from the trees and landed in front of us.
Jasper: Tyrian...what are you doing here?
Tyrian: She is not happy with your decision. She has requested me to take you back for, a talk.
Lace pulled out her swords and I loaded an arrow into my bow. Jasper stood there, an expression of fear on her face.
Jasper: I...am not going back there. Do not make this difficult for yourself. Scurry along insect.
Tyrian giggled slightly and his eyes turned purple. He thrusted his tail at her, but I quickly caught it, making him gasp as he looked at me.
Krystal: Tyrian Callows.
Tyrian: Glad to see I'm well known!
Krystal: This is not a fight you want.
I noticed that my voice became slightly corrupted, making Lace and Jasper back up a bit. My eyes turned red as I stared at him.
Krystal: I will not stand here and let you take my friend.
My aura shimmered a dark red, and tiny scales formed on my neck and forearms, and claws formed on my hand. Tyrian gasped and tried to pull his tail away, but I held on.
Krystal: You made a big mistake coming here.
I swung my arm to the side, sending him crashing through a couple of trees before finally stopping. I turned around and looked at Jasper and Lace, who had shocked faces.
Krystal: You may want to turn away for this.
I turned back around to see Tyrian already in front of me, swinging his blade downwards. I grabbed his arm and punched him in the face, then swept his legs and smashed my hand on his chest, slamming him to the ground. My claws glowed a bright red and I slammed my hand down again, but he rolled out of the way and backed up.
Tyrian: W-what the hell are you?!
Krystal: Salem hasn't told you? Surprising.
I dashed forward and back handed him, sending him flying backwards. He growled loudly and sprinted towards me, and his hand was suddenly covered in purple aura. I was about to block his punch, but I felt his tail wrap around my ankle. He pulled my leg forward, throwing me off balance, then struck my stomach, but my aura vanished and he left a long cut on my left side, causing me to grunt in pain. He laughed manically and I growled loudly. I stood up and glared at him as my wound was slowly closing up, shocking him. I snarled and a pair of red wings formed from my back. My claws glowed a dark red and I dashed towards him with lightning speed, grabbing his tail and flying high up into the air, then slamming him back down. Once he hit the ground I flew downwards and landed directly on him, causing smoke to form all around. Once the smoke cleared I saw his aura shimmer. He slowly got up and limped slightly back. But I dashed towards him again, slashing my claws at his cheek. He yelled in pain as some blood splattered on the ground. I smiled and inspected the blood on my claws.
Krystal: AB positive. That's good. The strongest type of blood.
The blood sank into my claws, and my aura shimmered a dark red again, and a red wispy mist formed all around my hands. He backed up and held his cheek.
Tyrian: She will hear about this. You hear me?! She'll destroy you for getting in the way!
He ran away and I chuckled grimly. Suddenly my wings disappeared, along with my scales and claws, and my eyes went back to normal. I turned around and saw Lace and Jasper's jaws on the ground.
Krystal: I'll...explain later. Come on.
I started walking again, giggling as they stared at me.
F/n POV
You and Timber went over the plan with Blake and Yang.
Yang: You guys keep watch with the others, me and Blake will do this.
Timber: And you're sure you know what to do?
Blake: Of course. This isn't the first time I've messed around with Atlas technology.
You: ...right. Just be safe, and contact us immediately if something goes wrong.
They both nod and begin to walk off, until you grabbed Blake's shoulder and pulled her into a hug. She slowly eased into it and you both stood there for a bit.
You: Be careful. Please.
Blake: I will. You do the same.
You broke the hug and kissed her forehead. Once they walked away you turned around, only to see Timber looking at you with a smirk.
Timber: How heartwarming.
You: I'll kick your ass wolfboy!
Fang sprinted by your side and growled at Timber. He chuckled.
Timber: Yeah yeah save it for training.
You, Timber, and Fang walked back to the group.
You: They're on their way now.
Ruby: Great! Everyone watch their scrolls! The second Weiss is out of range of the comm tower that'll mean she's out of range of the radar too.
Yang: (over mic) And that's when Blake steps in. We're almost at the drop off.
Jaune: Yes it's all going to plan!
You and Timber looked at Jaune.
Jaune: I mean uh, roger.
You rolled your eyes and snickered. Ruby looked at her scroll.
Ruby: Alright guys this is it! Blake you're up.
Everyone went silent as Blake didn't reply.
Ruby: Blake?
You perked your head up and activated your mic.
You: Blake if you can hear us let us know. Are you at the comm tower?
She still didn't reply. You started to get worried, along with everyone else.
Ruby: Yang what's going on?!
Yang: (over mic) I...don't know.
You: Blake! Do you copy?
You started to get a bit frustrated and looked at Timber. He nodded and shut his eyes and his armor started looking around. The armor pointed towards the comm tower.
Armor: Target at communication tower. Secondary hostile target, Adam Taurus, closing in.
Your heart dropped as you heard that name. Timber opens his eyes and looks at you. You balled your fists.
You: You stay here. I'm going after her.
Timber: I'm going with you.
You: No. This is my fight.
He hesitated and sighed.
Timber: Hurry back.
You nodded and started sprinting towards the comm tower, seething with rage and sadness as memories of your father passed through your mind. You grabbed your sword and shield and ran through the forest, when suddenly the hooded figure from before dropped down in front of you and kicked you in the stomach, sending you back a bit. You growled loudly
You: Out of my way!
???: I'm afraid not.
Your hands began to tremble with anger. The hooded figure shot her hands forward, revealing 2 metal chains with arrowheads on the end of them. The chains set on fire and you heard her chuckle.
???: I knew you wouldn't remember me. But hey, that makes my job a hell of a lot easier.
You got the sense of familiarity again.
You: I don't know who you are, or how you know me. But you need to get out of my way. This is your final warning.
Suddenly orange wings appeared on the back of the hooded figure, and she grew claws on her hands. And you saw a slight orange glow in her eyes. Her aura shimmered orange and she got into fighting stance. You did as well and stabbed 2 gravity dust crystals in your arms, and they glowed a slight black. You both stared each other down, waiting for a move.
Timber POV
We all watched in shock at the giant mech ahead of us.
Cordovan: It's time you ask yourselves children. Do you truly wish to defy me?!
Ruby: Hurry back Weiss. I need you on the ground if we're gonna take this thing down.
I cracked my knuckles and popped my neck, ready for a fight.
Armor: Tyche and Phoenix detected.
I gasped and perked my ears up. I looked all around but didn't see her.
Timber: Where?!
Armor: Entering gates of Argus now.
I growled slightly and jumped into my armor.
Timber: We'll deal with them later!
Everyone got their weapons out, ready for a fight.
