Never Seen Anything Quite Like You Too.
30) I have never seen anything quite like you.
Your whole world is upside down, left is right, right is left and your head is fucked up beyond all belief. All that you think to be normal is not and all that you believe to be abnormal is actually normal. What on earth is he thinking, coming in here whilst both of us are in this state? He really must be insane. A lunatic. Most definitely some kind of mad man with several screws loose if you ask me. I looked at Glen and found his expression matched mine. An expression of outrage and surprise.
"Before you guys say anything, I'm not here to cause trouble and if I do then it wasn't my intention," Danny said straight away.
"Why are you here then?" Glen asked getting up to stand in front of him. If Glen was trying to square up to Danny then it wasn't working. Danny has a height advantage in this game and Glen would lose if he tried playing.
"I've come to apologise if anything," he said.
Glen's eyebrows shot up as my mouth hung open by its hinges. WHAT?! Danny O'Donoghue, apologising? I wasn't aware that 'sorry' or any other synonym was in his dictionary.
"Who to? Yourself?" Glen asked.
"Why would I say sorry to myself?"
"You're sorry that you didn't have enough time to put some gel in your hair as you came over which is why it's all flat," Glen seethed.
"Honestly. I can't win; if I came with my hair gelled you would have said how I took the time to look good before coming here..." He started.
"Who says you look good with that fricking quiff anyway? Not saying you look good now either but that quiff looks shit," I croaked out.
"Thanks for your input on my style choices Siena," Danny muttered.
"I've got plenty more in the inventory," I said and Glen smirked slightly at me but turned his attention swiftly back to Danny.
"Who are you apologising to?" Glen repeated.
"Firstly you," he said to Glen.
"Why firstly me? I feel Siena is more important right now," Glen exasperated.
"Just listen please because most of what I am apologising to you for, Glen, involves Siena too," he said.
I felt the bed move slightly and someone grab my hand and I turned my head to see Glen sitting by me.
"Ok. Now say it," Glen said.
"Are you two ..." Danny started.
"Just fucking say it Dan!" Glen shouted.
"... Okay. Fine. Glen. Firstly I am sorry I didn't tell you straight away that I had stolen the painting when you asked. I should have. I guess I wanted to hide what I had done and try and get away with it. Secondly, I am sorry for trying to get Siena against you. I felt like she really was bad news for you especially after your last relationship and the road to this one. I didn't want you to get hurt," he said.
"So you thought putting Siena, my one chance of happiness, off of me was a good idea?" He asked.
"I guess so yes. Of course i didn't know how exactly you felt at the time but I could sort of see it. The stages you were going through. Annoyance of not being accepted by her, slowly and surely to how you are now with her," he said.
"You were annoyed that I didn't accept you?" I asked Glen.
Glen looked down at me and squeezed my hand slightly with a small grimace on his face.
