(this is the second starting chapter of the choose your own adventure! if you haven't read the firsr one, please do so! And I understand there are many timeline plot holes, but just ignore them, it doesn't comply with the game it's just characters.)

I woke to the sound of Nathan snoring, and his phone on the nightstand vibrating like mad. I gave a groan and turned over to turn Nathan's loud phone off. It was probably Chloe or Elena. Instead, I was greeted with a warm body holding me down. I could feel every time he breathed out upon the shell of my ear.

His snoring was loud and annoying, but his body was very comfortable. Mostly because he had his arm wrapped around me. It made me want to lay here forever, but I couldn't. Because his phone wouldn't stop vibrating. Screw you mysterious person

I carefully took his arm from around my waist and unraveled it trying not to stir him from his deep slumber. His eyes flickered quickly, awaking. Nathans snoring went erratically and stopped as his eyes snapped open and met mine. "W-what-? What's happening?" He asked, his voice was still apparent with sleep. "Someone doesn't know how to leave you alone, especially when it's like 8 in the morning," I grumble checking the red glowing analog clock. The pale sunlight strived to shine through the red curtains, casting onto the messy bed.

I handed Nathan his phone, and he squinted at the bright light as his calloused hands wrapped around the black object. He observed the words that danced across the screen, and his eyes widened. "Sam responded, he wants me to call him right now because then coin is nothing like he is seen before,"

I sat up, ogling at him in astonishment. "That antique coin you found? That I was sitting on? For real? Call him to call him!" I demanded, grabbing his shoulder and shaking him violently. "Alright alright!" Nathan gave in, tapping the phone icon. We both anxiously listened to the quiet ringing, and he put it on speaker for me to listen.

"Nate?" The familiar Boston accent sounded through the phone. "Samuel, what is the coin?" I asked through the phone, my excitement getting ahead of me. Nathan glared at me from the corner of his eye, making me stick my tongue out at him.

Nathan doesn't like me being around Samuel. Sam is protective of me when he is around, often acting like an older brother figure (if you go his route that will change but for now this is how It is)

"Hey, sweetheart! How are you doing? Is Nathan being an asshole yet?" Samuel asked me, not caring about the coin for the moment. Nate rolled his eyes, sighing and his lower lip puffing out a little bit in a pout.

I snorted a little bit at his response and took his phone from him earning a "Hey!" from Nathan. "I'm fine! Nathan has been kind of a pain in the ass but, how are you doing, Samuel?" I glimpsed at Nathan, knowing that if I got him in trouble with Sam he would get mad at me. But it was worth it.

"I'm sorry to hear that, but I am amazing. This coin is actually really important. It is a rare goddesses sigil," He notified, making Nathan and I head pick up with intrigue.

"Who?"

"Tyche. She is the ancient Greek goddess of fortune and good luck. She is the daughter of Aphrodite and Zeus." Sam continued, which made Nate's eyes roll. "Okay? What is that supposed to mean?"

I mimicked his movement and rolled my eyes as well. "Sheesh, well like I was sayin', look at the coin. What does it look like?" Sam spoke, filling the silence in the room. Nathan stood up, shuffling over to his backpack which was resting on an old chair in the corner of the room. He pulled the silver coin out of one of the various pouches and hunkered next to me to examine it.

I saw a woman's face whom I assumed was Tyche, and on the other side was a bunch of scratches. "It's Tyche and something in ancient Greek right? I don't know greek very well though." Nathan narrowed his eyebrows at the coin, rubbing his thumb over every carefully carved marking.

"The ancient Greek says, 'You can never seek your fortune if you never try.' Sound familiar?" Sam's voice came from over the phone matter-of-factly. "It sounds like our dear friend Henry Avery... You think miss Tyche has some hidden treasure? Wait a minute, this coin says made in Regio IV, which is four, Templum Pacis... Temple of Peace? where is that?" Nathan asked, grasping the coin, and I handed him the phone. At that moment I had a moment of Eureka.

"Region four of Rome, Italy! Guys the Colosseum! We have to go now, Samuel Drake get your ass down here now!" I jumped off the bed excitedly, grabbing my book bag and shoving my items in it. I heard Sam laughing on the other end, and Nathan just shook his head. "I mean it's worth a try, Sam do you have anything you need to do in the next week or so?"

I looked at Nathan and the phone like a puppy, waiting for Sam's reply. I didn't want to be with Nathan on an 'exercising trip to keep my body in shape'. I want to be with my two good friends. "I guess not, I will get a bag packed and see you guys tonight alright?"
