Austin opened the door before Rae even got the chance to get up. "Hey, I just wanted to check on you before I went to bed. How you doing babe?" Austin said, genuine concern etched on his face. Rae smiled weakly, "I'm fine. I mean, I feel totally embarrassed and pissed off, but I'm sure it'll pass" she said shaking her head, as Austin sat himself down on the edge of her bed.

"I hope I didn't cause too much trouble between you and Ashley, Austin. Its just she was being such a cow and I don't ever let people talk shit to me. I get it if you don't want me to be here anymore" Rae said, looking away from him, hurt.

"Rae, are you stupid? You didn't do anything wrong!" Austin said as Rae's head turned back to face him. "I ended up kicking her out as soon as I heard you both shouting. You're such a sweet girl, I knew for a fact you didn't start whatever shit was going on. Then she demanded I kicked you out of the house and, well.. that just wasn't a option" Austin shrugged.

Rae was shocked. Why was he being so nice to her, when she had just physically assaulted this girl who he obviously had a thing about? "I just don't get it." Rae said sitting up properly in bed. "I was so nice to her when I met her, and she was just so rude. I didn't know if it was just a American thing or something". Austin laughed out loud as Rae continued "But then she started saying all this stuff about me being a whore and not being able to be friends with you while I lived here. I dunno, I guess she just hit a sore spot and I flipped." Rae finished.

"Look honestly, just forget about her babe. She's a total psycho, I dunno what I was thinking hanging onto whatever we had. She didn't even make me happy. I think I was just comfortable, you know?" Austin pondered as Rae nodded. She had been in that situation before and knew how hard it was to actually leave a relationship. "But although it was shitty of her to do that, at least it made my mind clear. I wouldn't want a girl like that. Ever. I need myself a nice girl. Like you" he said, with a wry smile on his face.

Rae blushed, playing with her negligee. "Thanks Austin. But I guess I'm not as nice as we both thought. Starting a fight nearly after less than 48 hours of being here" she said rolling her eyes. They both caught each others eyes and began laughing. "Anyway, get some beauty sleep. I'm sure Jess will be in first thing for all the gossip" Austin laughed heaving himself up from the bed. Rae stood up and walked him to her door, running her fingers through her hair, "oh my god of course she will!" she said lightly chuckling.

Austinbent down and placed his arm around Rae's waist, gently placing a kiss on hercheek. "'Night babe" he whispered in her ear and he walked away. Raecould feel her heart pounding out of her chest again, but this time she didn'twant it to stop.
