Chapter 8

Andy's POV

That's it then, I've lost her for good this time! I watched her video last night. I know she meant it for me. I just still can't understand what happened that night when she made me leave. Did one of my old girlfriends call and she expected the worst of me? Doesn't matter, she's happy and that's what's important.

"Hey batman!"

I roll my eyes, not in the mood, "What Ash?"

He pushes me, "Come on! We need to get your girl back! You're not gonna give up so easily are you?"

"She looks happy doesn't she?"

"Andy-"

"Doesn't she!"

"Yes but-"

"Then leave her be."

"If you won't do something, I will," he walks away, phone in hand.

What is he up to?

Sami's POV

"Ashley, what is it? "

"Whoever said you were a people person lied," he pauses then turns serious, "do you really love that guy?"

"Jak? Yes, I really love him." That's what Andy needs to believe, anyway.

"Don't lie to me."

"I'm not. Besides,what's the reason behind this random meet up?"

Yes,basically kidnapping a girl from her front yard and taking her to Starbucks is quite random. Don't you agree?

He rubs his face before answering, "Because I know this sudden change of heart isn't real, Sami. You may fool everyone else but not me. And another thing, are you-"

"Sami! I found you!"

We turn to see Jak at the doorway running towards us, "You had me worried," he hugs me tighter than a lost child would his mother, "what's going on here?"

"Ash decided to abduct me from my yard for a reason I've yet to find," I raise my eyebrow at Ash.

Jak looks at him intrigued, "Well I can leave if it's a private conversation?"

"Is it, Ashley?" I'm trying my hardest not to run out of this place right this second.

He opens his mouth but shuts it and opens it again, "Never mind, I'll just go. We will be talking soon, though."

He walks out without another word.

Jak takes a seat in front of me, "So, you're friends with BVB huh?"

"Yeah but since Andy and I had our falling out its been awkward hanging out with them."

"I could only imagine babe," he lays his hand on top of mine.

Topic change! "So your band is playing tonight ?"

The little fire lights in his eyes, "Yeah! It's our first real gig, even if we are headliners for some big band. You're coming right?"

I lean across the table to his lips, "Wouldn't miss it for the world."

Later that night I'm in a short black dress and studded black heels, applying dark red lipstick for Jak's big night. We get in his car and I'm given backstage access while his band sets up.

"Sami!"

My eyes open wide, turning to the source of the voice, "It can't be...Andy?"

He looks rough, he hasn't shaved in a while and his hair is a mess, "I can't believe I'm looking at you again. Can we talk about what happened that night?"

My blood runs cold thinking about that call, "Yes, let's talk about your little whore who called asking where you were!"

"Huh?"

"It doesn't matter anymore, I don't care."

He reaches to hold my hands and I back away from his reach.

"Sami I can't believe you'd think I would hurt you. I thought you knew me better than that. Are you just using Jak to get back at me for something I didn't do?"

"Leave Andy, we're done here."

He walks off the stage and out of the stadium without protest.

"Is it true? Are you using me?"

I turn to see Jak behind me, "How much of that did you hear?"

"Enough to know that you should leave."

"Me and Andy are over, I promise. We haven't spoken since the break up until just now. Please-"

He shakes his head and kisses me gently, "I know, I want you to go after him. I see now I'm just a band aid, even though you do have feelings for me. Your heart is with him and I want you happy. So go."

I think over everything that's just happened, "What if I'm scared of things going wrong again?"

"That's just how love is, it's never easy or painless. You just have to find the person that's worth it and stick with them through it all."

I hug him tight before taking my heels off and running after Andy. He's getting into a taxi and I start yelling his name.

"Andy! Stop!"

"Sami? Come on, get in."

I get in the cab with him and hold him, "I'm so sorry, sorry for leaving and everything else. I was wrong and I don't deserve you but I realize that I need you. Don't let me leave ever again."

His arms wrap around me and he kisses the top of my head, "I promise because I want you to marry me."

"I couldn't want anything more," I smile up at him. "Where are we going?"

"Back to my hotel room and tomorrow I was thinking we head back to your house."

"Sounds perfect, but uh you should know something," he raises an eyebrow at me, " remember that night we spent alone together about two months ago? Well we might've made a little girl."

We're both grinning and holding each other as we think about our future together. It's strange the path our lives went through to be together in the end. We are gonna have our first child and get married, my best friend Aria is about to have triplets with Jinx.

My phone and Andy's ring simultaneously and we look at each other.

"The triplets are coming."
