Blaine was quiet after his appointment, and Kurt didn't ask, knowing he didn't want to talk about it.

"I don't suppose there's anything that sounds good to you?" Kurt asked casually on their way back.

"Hm?"

"To eat," he elaborated.

"Oh. I don't know."

Blaine did know. A thousand things sounded good, but eating them didn't. He craved the flavor, the feeling of eating, but the idea of the food that would just sit in his stomach afterwards made him feel sick. It wouldn't be worth it, it'd end up doing more harm than good.

He didn't know why. Was it guilt? Had he somehow developed an eating disorder?

And Kurt wasn't an idiot. Blaine knew he knew what was going on. But he didn't know how much he knew, and it killed him wondering.

Kurt's phone buzzed as they got back, and he immediately checked it. Then he smiled, typing something.

"Sebastian's flight landed in Paris," Kurt told him. His phone buzzed again and he looked at it, laughing. "He's such an asshole," he mumbled, texting back a response.

"You really like him, don't you?"

The question slipped out without Blaine's permission.

Kurt's cheeks went pink. "I don't know what you mean."

He couldn't help laughing. "Oh, come on. I know that face, Kurt. I mean, he clearly likes you too, even though he's, you know... Him."

He shook his head. "How would you know? You've hardly been here. He only thinks of me as a friend."

"He's been in love with you since high school. It's kinda pathetic, actually."

"He's not in love with me!" His face was even redder.

"Yes, he is."

"Just drop it."

"I don't get why you're denying it, it's so obvious!" Blaine laughed.

"Maybe I don't want my heart broken again!" Kurt snapped, not amused.

The loft went absolutely silent. Kurt took a deep breath, looking like he wished he hadn't said that.

"That was rude but I'm not sorry I said it. Leave me alone about my love life, alright?"

Blaine nodded. "Okay. I'm sorry."

He wasn't going to lie, it hurt. Kurt was honestly the only person he cared about at that point. But he was glad Kurt had finally yelled at him. Because it didn't feel right, him being so nice and gentle. He deserved to be yelled at, and it was a relief to get it over with.
