Chapter 6

Runtpaw was trying to wiggle her self free but it was no use the river just sucked her under into freezing cold water. But she still tried and tried but eventully she heard a voice but it was very far away she could barley make out the words. "Runtpaw what are you doing?" The voice said. Here! Grab onto these vines with your teeth." Runtpaw then relized the voice was Maplepaw's and Racconpaw's voice. Runtpaw pulled hherself up and was shivering and could barley move. Then she just fell because her limbs were so stiff. "Racconpaw go and get Whitewillow quick!" Maplepaw said in panic. Racconpaw then ran as fast s he could to get Whitewillow. "Runtpaw can you meow?" Maplepaw asked. Runtpaw could only manage to groan in pain. "Maplepaw! I brought Whitewhillow!" Racconpaw and Whitewhillow came dashing over to Runtpaw. "The only reason she is like this is because it is ice cold water and her size. Okay Runtpaw I am going to push on your ribs to get the water out." Whitewillow then pushed on her ribs and a bunch of water kept pouring out of her mouth. "Okay good. Now Runtpaw I will rap you in these leaves to warm you up." Whitewillow then said. "Are you okay Runtpaw?" Runtpaw just laid there. She couldn't move. "Runtpaw are you okay?" Maplepaw and Racconpaw were really worried. "Yea I'm f-f-fine." Runtpaw said then she coughed up some more water. "It's hard to move." "Your limbs will be stiff for one to two days so we will drag you to my den to rest and if the other cats ask we will say a cat from another clan attacked you and pushed you in the frozen river." Whitewillow told her, pain and relief in her eyes. So all three cats put Runtpaw on some moss and dragged her into the clan. "Whitewillow what happened?" Froststar asked. "Runtpaw was out hunting when a cat from another clan pushed her in the frozen river." Whitewillow said with a hint of guilt. "I will call a meeting to let all the cats know." Froststar jumped onto the cat rock and made her announcement while Runtpaw went and got dragged to Whitewillow's den.
