Monday's I only had two classes, so I decided to leave campus and go to my favorite place I found over the summer.
A park, one that had an hidden area with cherry blossoms.
It was surrounded by dead trees and shriveled up bushes, but as you go further it showed the most beautiful cherry blossom trees.
There was a single bench that was obviously worn down.
I sat in it and took out my sketchbook.
I drew what I felt, not letting my mind think but letting my heart take control of the pencil.
When I finished I stared down at the picture.
Two diverging paths, one with a beautiful scenery and the other with dead trees and colorless, except for a tiny glimpse of two red dots, eyes. On the beautiful side stood a handsome boy waving with one hand and the other clutching onto a pretty girl. Another girl at the intersection, facing towards the dead side.
I sighed before looking at the stars, I knew it was late but I didn't want to leave yet.
I laid in the bench staring off into the sky, my eyes slowly closing.
"Hyemin-ah, come on." Yelled the boy, waving to the girl as his hand held another.
The girl stared at them, heartbroken, before looking towards the colorless path.
She looked towards the two before walking down the dark, and deserted path.
As she walked further, the darker and scarier it got.
She flinched at every sound, soon her eyes met red ones.
They grew bigger and bigger as they got closer and closer.
In fright she clutched her shirt, standing as still as possible.
The eyes were in distance you could see a shadow.
A person like shadow and glistening red eyes filled the girl's dark brown—almost black eyes.
The figure jumped towards the girl, resulting in her eyes shutting close.
I jolt up, breathing heavily. I rub my head and shake it.
Checking the time, the clock read: 2:49 AM.
I quickly pack my stuff and walk out the park.
Finally making it out of the park and to the empty streets I walk slowly observing the sky.
My favorite thing was the stars, my dream has always been to travel the word and look at the stars from every location, because every star is different.
A loud bang is taken me from my thoughts and I quickly look in the direction of the noise.
An alleyway.
In dramas alleys were never a good idea to lurk, but the sound of a girl's shriek forced me to take a peek.
I slowly walk to the alley hiding behind a wall, making sure I couldn't be heard.
I peek over the wall to see a girl pinned with someone's face at her neck.
I quickly close my eyes and look away, afraid I was intruding on something I shouldn't have.
"But what if she's getting hurt." My thoughts say as I attempt to walk away.
I sigh and quickly take another peek only to see the girl now sitting up against the wall, eyes shut.
I run over to her and shake her slightly.
"Ma'am are you okay." I voice.
"She's fine, she's just passed out." I freeze at the deep voice, afraid to look behind me.
I was squatted down and his voice seemed to be above me, meaning he was standing up.
"You aren't very stealthy, my dear," His voice was now closer, most likely squatting as well "don't you wanna see my face so you can report to the police what I look like?"
I remained frozen, debating on if I should make a run for it.
But before my mind could even think my feet did it's own think and took off.
I ran for as long as I could before I was exhausted, I ran into another alley.
Steadying my breath, knowing he didn't even try to follow me.
"Dear," the deep voice sounded from behind again "look at me." His voice was sharp and stern.
Impatient, he grabbed my neck with his hand and pinned me to the wall.
My eyes locked with his.
His eyes were black, yet you could still see them clearly in the dark.
His orbs stared into mine, his pale skin was like a piece of paper in a pile of coal.
"For a pretty girl your age I'm surprised on how fresh your blood is." His eyes trailed down my body, my palms were sweaty and I was letting out tears unconsciously.
"Dear why are you crying?" He wiped off a tear with his finger, and kept his hand on my cheek.
"I never met a pretty fresh one before," he paused and learned in close to my ear, his lips brushing against them "and I don't want anyone else to get that opportunity."
My breath hitches when his teeth bite softly on the bottom of my ear.
"I'll save you for later little one." And just like that he was gone.
I took the chance to sprint on my feet and this time I didn't stop running no matter what, until I reached the girl's dorms.
I snuck in, making sure the office lady didn't see me and open my door.
I quietly get in bed, making sure not to disturb any of my roommates.
"What just happened" my thoughts spoke.
My hand touched my ear where he had bit, he bit ever so softly that it didn't hurt but I don't know what to think at this point.
"What does he mean by: fresh blood."
