Arliss and Gino were putting up lost dog posters. Ever since that police dog Agent Eleven had bitten off one of their boss's nuts, he had sworn revenge. Sonny Talia had tasked Arliss and Gino to find the dog and kill it.
They had tried to blow up the dog with explosives, but it had escaped and hadn't been seen since. They had been peppering the city with lost dog posters, hoping that someone would call in with the dog's location. So far, it was a dead end.
They were just chasing away a rollerblader from a public bulletin board outside of the local pet store when Arliss noticed a dog jumping out of a truck that had just pulled up. A man, a woman and a small boy got out as well. Arliss looked down at the poster in his hand, then back at the dog. It was a perfect match. Had they really just gotten this lucky?
"Hey, Gino," he said, nudging his partner. He pointed at the picture on the poster, then at the dog as the small group went into the pet store. "That's our mutt. That's our mutt!" The two gangsters looked at each other and grinned. Mr. Talia would reward them handsomely for this.
