"First place: Luna Rose, Second place: Mikasa Ackerman, Third place: Reiner Braun, Fourth place: Bertholdt Hoover, Fifth place: Annie Leonhart, sixth place: Eren Jaeger, Seventh place: Jean Kirstein, Eight place: Marco Bott, Ninth place: Connie Springer and Tenth place: Sasha Blouse." Shadis listed all of the cadets in the top ten and said which regiments they could join.
Erwin came up to the podium and gave them a long speech about the risks and possibilities of the Survey Corps. "Now, if you do not want to join the Survey Corps you may leave." Most of the cadets left even Annie from the top ten left. As most of the cadets left the ones that choose to stay were cowering and mumbling about how this is a bad idea to themselves, but Luna held her salute and did not cower she had chosen this path from the beginning and she was ready for what was to come. Once all the cadets left, Erwin spoke again. "WELCOME TO THE SURVEY CORPS, DISMISSED."
After the graduation everyone went to get their stuff, "Hey, Luna." Izzy came to Luna and hugged her. "Please, be careful out there I am gonna miss you." Luna hugs Izzy as she begins to cry, "Hey, Izzy you know me I won't go down with out a fight, and we will see each other again." Luna said in a soft voice, "Ok, got to go see you around Izzy." Luna said and waved at her friend as she walked to a carriage. Luna did not really have anything except a small amount of casual clothing and a ring that the orphanage gave her when she turned sixteen. Once Luna got to the Survey Corps HQ, she found her sleeping quarters with her room mate Mikasa and settles in.
"Hey Luna." "Hey Mika." Mikasa gives Luna a tender smile, "I though you were gonna join the Military police." "Tch, join those filthy pigs, never would I ever." Mikasa smirked, "Which regiment did Izzy join?" "The Stationary guard." Mikasa nodded. Once they were done they headed to the mess hall for dinner. "CADETS!!!" Erwin shouted so everyone would be quite. "I shall now announce which squad you shall be placed in!"
Commander called out ten names that shall be joining Hanji's squad, ten shall be joining mike's squad and the rest shall be joining Erwin's squad. "Luna Rose, you shall be joining the Special Operations." Luna saluted and sat back down to finish her meal. "Good job Luna!" Sasha shouted as she gulped down her a piece of bread. "Ya well done, Luna." Connie commented and the others nodded in agreement, "Thanks guys." After dinner everyone went to bed and Luna was the last to leave the mess hall.
"Goodnight Luna!" Hanji shouted as she walked to the door, "Night, Squad Leader." "Call me Hanji." Luna hummed and nodded. "Well she is a strange cadet." Erwin commented, "What 'cha mean Erwin?" Hanji asked. "She stayed till everyone left except us superiors." "Maybe she does not want to talk, she seems like someone of little words." Hanji stated, Erwin nodded in agreement. "What do you think, Levi?" "Tch, I don't know." Levi said as he left the mess hall. Luna lay in bed staring at the ceiling and sighed, she looked at Mikasa who was fast asleep.
Luna got up and decided to go to get some fresh air, she crept down the hallway and down the stairs, to the doors and silently ran to the stables, to get her snow white horse, Alpha and rode her to the forest with titan dummies that they use for training. Luna failed to notice two grey orbs watching her from a window. Once Luna got to the forest she tied Alpha to a tree and walked into the forest to a clearing and lay down and looked up at the moon and the stars. Levi had followed Luna on foot and watched her from the shadows. Luna started humming a song that she remembered but never knew where it came from. She started singing the parts that she remembered.

The only thing Luna remembered was that someone sang this song to her when she was scared and felt lonely. When one of the kids in the orphanage felt scared or lonely she would sing this song to them so they could fall asleep.

Luna always felt attached to the moon but never knew why. And when ever she practised fighting during the nights at the orphanage, she felt so powerful, like she could do anything. Levi continued watching Luna while she sang to herself.

Luna quickly sat up "Who's there!?" she shouted. Levi had accidently stepped on a tree branch which made a loud crack. Levi walked out of the shadows, "Captain... what are you doing here?" "Tch, I could ask you the same damn thing, brat." Luna looked back up at the moon. "I was just looking at the moon and getting some fresh air." "Nice singing brat." Luna blushed, "Thanks captain, h-how long have you been standing there for?" "I followed you to see if you were getting up to mischief, brat. Now get your ass of the dirty ground and get back to HQ." "Yes sir."
