Chapter 5: Take me to the top

(Nicola's view)

That afternoon as we all sat on the couch, I felt a pair of lips connect with my cheek.

 "Hello Nikki," I said, feeling the couch sag slightly as he sat down next to me.

 "Hey there, how're you doing Starry Eyes?" he asked, before pressing a light kiss to the back of my hand.

I smiled at him quickly, before shrugging. "Kind of stressed, if I'm being honest." I admitted as I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Don't worry darlin', we'll do all we can to help." Nikki promised, be fore pressing another kiss to my hand.

 "Are you going to the studio today?" I asked, and he smiled.

 "Nope, today we've got a break." He said, before giving me an Eskimo kiss.

I giggled as his hair brushed against my cheek. "I love you, Nikki." I said, and he pressed a kiss to my lips in reply.

 "Love you too, Starry Eyes." He said, as he stroked my hair affectionately.

I leaned back against him, humming softly which caught his attention.

 "What are you humming?" he asked, before smiling fondly at me.

"Nothing really, just a song I'm writing for you." I said, and he grinned. "Aww, you're too good to me." He said, and I smiled at him. 

 "Probably 'cause I love you." I said, before kissing him.

He kissed back, biting my lower lip just enough for me to open my lips a bit wider, without breaking the kiss.

We both pulled away, as soon as we heard the others coming in from the kitchen. "Morning guys," Nikki greeted, without letting go of my waist.

 "Good morning," Vince said, then his eyes widened when he saw Nikki's arms wrapped around my waist.

"Whoa, hey Tommy! Come see this." He called, and Tommy walked in from the bathroom.

"What is it Vince?" he asked, then his eyes landed on Nikki & I. he looked over at me, asking the question non-verbally, and I nodded.

 "Nicola kissed me and I was very surprised." he said, before pressing a kiss to my lips in front of the others.

"Yes, but you kissed back." I reminded him, as we broke the kiss.

 "Well, this is great! You two are so cute!" squealed Tommy's wife Heather, making me giggle. "Aww thanks Heather." I said, as I gave her a quick hug.

"Anytime honey, if you ever get into a fight or anything like that come find Tommy & I." she said, and I nodded.

 "I will." I promised, before Nikki pulled me back into his arms. "Aww, were you getting needy?" I teased, as he buried his face into my neck.

"Yes," he whispered, as he kissed my earlobe. "Perhaps I should tease." I said, and he gave a low growl.

"No you shouldn't, it would make me crazy." he said, before kissing along my collarbone, my eyes closed as he kissed from my collarbone up to my lips.

"It ain't my fault you got me so good," I muttered, and he paused to look at me.

"What do you mean by that, Starry Eyes?" he asked, and I blushed. "Nothing, just got an idea for the lyrics to the song." I said, before reconnecting our lips.
