Mia's POV:

I woke up the next day in Kol's arms. After yesterday, we had simply, went to bed and fell asleep in each other's arms. I tried to get up, but Kol's hold on me only tightened.

"You're up too early." I heard him moan. A cheekily grinned while turning to face him. "No, I'm up at a normal time. You're just lazy and like to sleep in." Kol put on a hurt face before replying.

"I am not lazy. I just want this moment to last a very good time." "And is that because I am just too awesome for you to let go or..." I stopped for a moment. "Nope, I can't think of any other reasons why." This made Kol, chuckle.

"Do you really want to know why I don't want to get up?" He asked. I nodded hysterically. "Desperately." He sighed before opening his mouth to speak.

"Because you're beautiful." This time it was my turn to laugh, but once I saw that Kol remained serious, I stopped. "Are you being serious?" I asked doubtfully. "Of course I am. The way the light is hitting your face, it is... true beauty." He then rests himself on his elbow so that he is now looking down at me. "Mia, you are beautiful, I'm being serious, I know you don't think so but you are. You mean the world to me. I know you don't believe it, but it's true." He said while pulling a loose strand of hair, from my face.

I stared into his deep brown eyes and he stared into my icy blue ones, and for a fleeting moment everything was perfect. Then my phone started buzzing.

I moaned loudly, before going to pick up my phone, but Kol was too fast. Within seconds he had the phone up to his ear and his hand stretched out, stopping me from getting the phone back.

"Hello. Mia's phone, Kol speaking, how can I help you." I laughed at how immature he was, but it was one of the things I liked about him so I couldn't complain.

Moments later I heard Kol speak again. "Hold on a moment." He then turned to me. "It's Ava. Do you want to talk to her?" He whispered so Ava wouldn't hear. I thought for a while before answering.

I shook my head slightly. "Tell her I'm in the shower, but I'll call her later." Kol gave me an understanding nod before telling Ava what I had told him. He then hung up, after saying good bye, and then tuned to me.

"So what do you wanna do now?" He asked. "Well, I'm going to get up." I started while slowly getting up and headed towards the bathroom. "And have a nice warm shower." As soon as I had finished, I saw Kol brighten up immediately. "Great idea, let's go." He said, now right beside me.

I out my hand out, to stop him entering the bathroom. "Um. No. I meant, just me." I saw him pout as I said this. "Well, what am I supposed to do?" He whined. I shrugged, "I don't know. Go make me breakfast or something." "Fine." He said.

After my shower, I walked back downstairs, where I had a sudden case of déjà vú. Kol was at the stove, shirtless might I add, making pancakes.

"Well, this looks familiar." I announced, letting Kol know I was there. He smirked at me before saying. "You're just in time. The pancakes are ready." We sat down at the table to eat our breakfast. After while, I stopped eating, when I noticed something amazing.

The light was hitting Kol from behind, as his back was facing the window, making it look like he was glowing. He looked perfect; his hair was sitting just right, like he had worked on it all day, even though he had worked on it all day, even though he had just rolled out of bed. His soft brown eyes were looking down at his pancakes, like he had never seen food before. Just by looking at him, I felt calm and... Happy. And for the first time in a very, very long time, I smiled a real smile.

"Could you please stop staring at me, it's kinda creepy." He said, suddenly looking back at me. "Sorry, I was just..." I struggled to answer. "You were just enjoying the view."

I was blown away by how cocky he was. I let out a shocked breath. When I got myself together, I finally found words. "WOW. Cocky much, today." "Oh don't be silly, darling. I'm this cocky every day." Was his only response.

We ate the rest of our pancakes in silence, it wasn't awkward though, it actually felt quite... comfortable. After shoving my plate into the sink, I headed into the living room to watch T.V; when I was stopped by Kol's voice.

"Where do you think you're going?" At the sound of this I immediately turned around. "To watch T.V." I was extremely confused, and my voice just gave it away. "We have no time for T.V. We have too much packing to do." Kol had already grabbed my arm and lead me half way up the stairs, before his words hit me.

"Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Why are we packing?" I stood there, in the middle of the stairs, my arms crossed over my chest, and an 'Explain' look on my face. "Well, because we're leaving of course."

The expression on my face suddenly changed to a pouty one. "What? No, we just got here." "I know but you're going to like where were going much more." I still wasn't continued. "What if I don't want to leave?" I tried to argue. Kol thought for a moment before replying. "Mia look, I promise, we'll come back one day, and I promise we'll stay for more than 24 hours that time." I eventually nodded and Kol lead me into the room to pack.

And just like that, I was whisked back into the unknown. I didn't know where we were going, but I did know that as long as I was with Kol, I was going to have the time of my life.
