"WHAT are you doing here?"

I can't help but cross my arms.

"I'm here to pick you up."

Prente niyang sabi habang pinaglalaruan ang cellphone niya sa isa niyang kamay.

Do I always have to be clueless of his plans?

"You aren't supposed to pick me up, Allister."

Naguguluhan kong sabi.

Napangisi lang siya habang naglalakad palapit sa akin.

"I ain't, but I want to."

Nagulat ako nang biglaan niyang isuot sa ulo ko ang isa pang helmet na hinugot niya mula sa manibela ng motor na dala niya.

I rolled my eyes.

"Look. I have no idea how on Earth did you ever know where I am, but I guess, it's not your duty to meddle with any of my businesses, Allister. Besides, I can't just leave the party. It would be so rude of me to depart without even telling those people where I'd go."

Pinigilan ko ang kamay ni Allister na pilit na umaayos sa helmet na suot ko.

"In case you've forgotten, I have the contact numbers of your parents. Bongabon's just a small town, which makes it feasible for me to follow you."

I gulped. He was just too close, even my nose can't stop from sniffing his manly scent.

"Why do you keep on doing this to me, Allister?"

Reklamo ko. Nang mag-angat ako ng tingin ay mas lalo kong napagtantong napakalapit pala talaga ng mukha niya sa akin. To my surprise, he's staring at me.

"You'd be scared if you find out."

Seryoso niyang sabi.

Nagwawala na ang mga paru-paro sa tiyan ko. Sa isang iglap lang ay tila ba nakalimutan ko ng huminga. I want to curse my own mind for thinking that something crazy might happen if this 'staring thing' wouldn't stop.

"There you are, Sab. I have been looking for y---Oh."

Mabilis pa sa alas-kwatrong humiwalay ako kay Allister nang marinig ko ang boses ni Yukio.

Allister laughed when he saw how surprised Yukio was.

"Allister nga pala, pare. I'm Sab's friend. I was asked by her parents to pick her up. I hope you don't mind."

Nagulat ako nang lumapit si Allister. Inilahad pa niya ang kamay niya sa harapan ni Yukio, na tila ba nakahinga ng maluwag nang magpakilala ang damuhong iyon.

"Yukio, pare. Sorry. I thought you're Sabrina's boyfriend. Kaibigan ka lang pala."

Ngumisi si Yukio at tinanggap ang kamay ni Allister na ngayon ay wala ng kangiti-ngiti sa labi.

"I can be more than that, pare. I sure hope that it doesn't scare you that much."

I sighed. Para silang mga babaeng nagpaplastikan. Halatang-halata naman dito kay Allister na inaasar lang niya si Kio.

"Just text me later if this man brought you home safely, Sabrina."

Nakangiting humarap sa akin si Yukio. Pilit din akong ngumiti pabalik, kahit na ang totoo ay ayaw ko pang umuwing kasama si Allister.

"O-of course."

I fixed my hair a little.

"Kuya Kio! Lola Emiko's looking for you!"
