"Law school, here we come!" nakangiting sigaw namin ni Germie habang bitbit ko siya.

Ngayon ang pinakamasayang araw naming dalawa. After everything we've been through. Lahat ng kaba, puyat, efforts naging worth it. May susunod pa nga lang pero I know that we can do this, together.

It was Thursday night when I received a call from Germie. Sinagot ko 'to kaagad.

She irritatingly sighed. "Tinatamad na talaga ako. Hindi ko na keri. Bakit dati mahilig naman ako magbasa?" patuloy na pag-rarant niya.

I chuckled and rested my head on the couch. Nasa lapag kasi ako. "Sus, sisiw lang 'yan sayo. Come on, love, I know you can finish reading this thick ass book before 2 am."

"Oo nga pero kung kelan malapit na ako matapos tsaka naman ako tinatamad," iritadong-iritado talaga siya.

"Then don't drop the call while we both finish reading this. Okay ba 'yun?" I smiled na para bang makikita niya ako.

"Alright, sige. Let's do this!"

"This house is great, love! Ang ganda," she was tearing up when she saw that I bought my own house with my own money.

"Aww, are you proud?" I hugged her from behind. Ang lapad nga ng ngiti ko e.

"Of course!" she faced me. "I know how determined you are and how much effort this took you. Nagbunga lahat ng paghihirap mo, lahat ng efforts mo, love," she sniffed and hugged me tight.

I rubbed her back. "Thank you." I really am. Without her, I don't think I'll have enough courage to surpass every difficulties I faced.

She looked at me. "Para saan?"

"For staying by my side." I kissed her forehead and smiled at her. "You're my strength, my everything," I whispered on her ear.

She smiled at me with her eyes sparkling from the unshed tears. "No, love. You did this. I'm proud of you. Sa lahat ng nararating at mararating mo. This is just the start. Kahit wala ako sa tabi mo o sa buhay mo, I know you will still be successful."

It's great how such words can mean so much. But it makes a difference when someone cheers for you, someone lifts up your spirit and gives you hope.

Yes, this house is from my own blood and sweat. I am proud of what I have achieved. But, I am also thankful for the person who didn't hold me back and stop me from reaching my dreams no matter how high they were.

Naputol ang panaginip ko— well, flashbacks from when we graduated in pre law, in law school, and when we started to build our own law firm and the success we achieved.

May yumugyog sa akin.

"Malapit na tayo. Do you still want to change your shirt?" she combed my hair when I sat up.

"Nah. Ay joke, I'll get a polo," naalala ko kasing may meeting pala ako. Chareng.
