"Ano bang gusto mo?" She said in frustration.

I watched her walk back to the couch where she let her body fall to roughly. She put her elbows on her knees, and buried her face in her hands for a second. Then she pushed the stray strands of her hair back, before she looked at me.

"Gusto ko ng oras."

"You have it. You have all the time in the world. What else?"

"Hindi mo naiintindihan. I need time, Silene."

"I'm sorry, I don't understand?" She scoffed. "You're the one who doesn't understand the gravity of what you're trying to ask."

"Gusto ko ng oras. Pagod na pagod na ako. Hindi ko na alam." And then my sight was blurry as I tried to blink my tears away.

"Sa tingin mo, ako, hindi?" Her voice softened a little. She almost choked, and I heard her tone quiver.

"Pagod na rin ako. But I don't want to be away from you. I want us to fix this. Because you and I both know that once we part, this.." She pointed at me, then at her. "Us? Once we're broken, we're broken. You know that. You and I both."

I heaved a big sigh.

"You said it's you and me against the world. You said it's you and me against all odds."

We were staring at each other. I stared at how her eyebrows were furrowed in exasperation as her eyes bore holes in mine. How her lips were parted as she was panting in frustration.

I was just as tired as her.

"Maybe I lied."
