The weekend cane too fast to say I was miserable to go to the country club was an understatement, I didn't want to see Larkson at all was an understatement and all I wanted to do was just watch cartoons, in my Hello Kitty pajamas and eat Lucky Charms. But I had to do my hair and let my mom pamper me to get ready which basically is taking HOURS. My mom then decided on two space buns that were short on each side for my hair style and she and I decided on a floral white dress and short white heels. After , my mom put a little blush eyeliner and lipstick on me.
Satisfied my mom decided we were both ready and met my dad who was waiting in the car he both said we looked beautiful and we were on our way.
I decided to pass the time to text with my friends in our group chat but then they all said they had to go and I was left alone again.
So I decided to text the only person I could think of Chase.

Lola: You awake I don't know your sleep schedule , but I just wanted to tell you that I was going to be busy today.
Chase: Really? on a Saturday?
Lola: Unfortunately, yes it's not my decision.
Chase: I wish I could save you , but unfortunately I cannot my apologies then and I hope you TRY to have fun.
Chase: Wherever it is you are going.
I smiled I loved how Chase could make me feel better , even just with a few simple words before I realized it we were finally here.
My father greeted his friend who I now know who is named Gerald and I see his wife Elise who greets my mother then I see him Larkson and some other girl who I didn't see the last time I met them.
"Lola you look ravishingly beautiful as always" he says kissing my hand while I mentally cringe in my mind. To still be courteous I say "And you look dashingly handsome" and I thought why not boast his ego a little?
The girl beside him laughed and he gave her a death stare the girl then spoke " I believe we haven't been properly introduced I was at a French boarding school last time Larkson and you met, I'm Cecilia but please , call me Cece she shook my hand and smiled I like this girl I thought.
Larkson then boasted about how his grades were doing at a boarding school he was at which was in the state with live California and how he's the captain of the lacrosse team and how girls practically fall at his feet.
But I was more interested in conversing with Cece and more about who she was she told me she was adopted and liked ballet which we bonded over and she loved English and reading and she also loved the environment which safe to say I wish she was around more. She said she had a holiday and that's why she's here and not at school she explained that's why she wasn't here last time.
Larkson kept rambling on and my parents and Larkson's and Cece's parents said that they had something important to announce at lunch , I looked at Cece and she just shrugged her shoulders as if you say she didn't know anything and Larkson looked confused as well but agreed nevertheless.
Cece then announced that me and her were going to get some fresh air on the terrace, and her parents and mine said it was okay as long as we were back for lunch.
"So, she said my brother is a total asshole and I'm sorry" she laughed , but I reassured it was okay and I was use to it. But then she said something that caught me off guard.
"I know you like someone else, who is it ? She looked up at me hopefully."
"It's this guy he's on a social media platform that's really popular, TikTok I think it is " she nodded and gasped "oh yeah I totally know what that is so is he popular on it?
"He said he was pretty popular his name is Chase Hudson, Cece's mouth went wide open then she said , " I have the app let me look him up on it, " she showed me a TikTok that was definitely of Chase but it was with some girl he looked lovingly at and I felt crushed.
"Girl , he is so HOT I can definitely believe you have a crush on him, " she then looked at my solemn face , "Hey what's wrong ?" Then I decided to put on a smile and said "Nothing our food should be here and we should head back". Cece then said "We should ". And we kept conversing and laughing my disappointed face long forgotten.
The food we had ordered was beyond delicious and after all of us were satisfied, all of our parents looked like a kid on Christmas, "Larkson and Lola ", my fathers friend Gerald had started " You are two amazing children who have accomplished so much and that is why I am excited to announced my wife and I and Lola's parents have decided that you too are engaged to be MARRIED." He says ecstatically and hugs my father and kisses my mother and his wife looking as joyful as ever and Cece almost choking on her sweet tea. And Larkson looking like a kid on Christmas morning and me just standing their shocked.
I'm getting married to Larkson who I hate with a very passion I thought and there's nothing I can do or say about it.
