Blocking as strong as he could, he grabbed his opponent and then spun them slashing them with his sword. Losing their balance, his opponent dropped to the ground like a fly, and Isaac stood unharmed raising his sword in the air. "The match of Zalender and Isaac resulted in a win for Isaac! Isaac advances to the next round!" that was the captain of the knights, Asagiri and beside him was Lusilla but still no sign of the king anywhere.
Regardless of where he was, the crowd seemed to love him because they began cheering and clapping. He just put his sword back in its sheath and walked out of the arena climbing the stairs to get to the next floor.
"Hey, I got a seat for us!" a voice said.
Looking to where it was coming from, he saw Elijah with an empty seat and his hands stuffed with snacks. Isaac sat down right beside him and Elijah said, "Good job on your match, you won without getting dirty," he said with a grin.
Isaac chuckled, "I guess so..."
"Well, this next match should be intense, look!" he said pointing to the arena.
Looking to where Elijah pointed, Isaac saw two people in the arena who were taller than him and very muscular. They had seemed to be fighting and just as the captain announced that they were, the crowd began gasping. Biting into the sweet and crunchy toffee apple that Elijah gave him when he sat down, he observed closely as the match was about to commence.
As soon as it began, both men went charging at the speed of the wind, clashing their swords together. Looking closer, he saw one of them in a familiar position. He thought deeply about this and realized the other man was trying to trip him. But before he could do, or say anything, the other man jumped over and kicked him in the chest. Blasting him back.
Blood began dripping down his lip, most likely from the impact. He got up screaming in rage. A bit like how he Isaac had done in training.
He turned to Elijah and told him, "Did you know where I was..."
Elijah nodded, "They took you to the building, Lusilla and I tried to stop them but their threats only increased... Isaac, you're not just fighting for freedom and life anymore, you're fighting for the kingdom." he said.
"How so?" he asked.
Elijah then began scooching away from Isaac when his back was turned away, he had felt awkward. "Why are you moving away?" Isaac asked while giggling.
Elijah remained silent but they both turned their heads when they heard to slash of a sword into one's flesh. Gasps came from the crowd and looking at the arena, both of them had been pierced deep enough to say there was no return...
The judges remained quiet, Lusilla put her hand over her mouth covering it, but Isaac caught her eyes on him and she had looked nervously at him. But as soon as Isaac looked back at her she turned around. "They both just died..." Isaac said.
"Well this is new but it seems like both people have died... so the arena will be cleaned and we will continue" the captain said.
He had been so calm and relaxed, probably not to try and startle or scare anyone but lunch break was now so he got up and ran around the stands, he hadn't quite figured how to get where Lusilla was but he wanted to talk to her. Where she was had been extremely high up but he noticed a stairway that was guarded by two guards.
"Name," they asked while he tried to enter.
"Isaac...," he said.
They shook their head motioning for him to leave but he kept on trying until a voice later said, "Didn't I tell you to let him pass!" Lusilla yelled in anger.
They both knelt to their knees allowing him to walk by. But as soon as he reached Lusilla he grabbed her hand and ran to a private area with her to talk.
"Ow," she said while running with him. Isaac quickly loosened his grip on her when they finally got to the private area he began gasping for air.
"I need your help..." he said struggling for air.
"With what!? I should be having my lunch break you know," she said.
"Listen, you were right, they did lie. And said after the tournament, even if I did win I would stay there. I know I should have seen this coming but I need to ask you something."
She only cocked her head causing him to look at the captain. He seemed to be announcing the next fight but it couldn't have been him already, could it?
Whatever the case, he and the remaining participants were later called down to the arena. There had been many horses, most likely enough for everyone. And then it hit him what they would be doing.

Putting on his helmet he climbed onto the horses back and saw a name tag. "Rose." He grinned and said, "Let's do this, rose." In the arena, there had only been two people. The captain explained they would be doing jousting however if they did a free for all it would be too chaotic, so the rest of the people were told to go back into the arena. He breathed nervously as the thought of losing came like a sword slashed in his arm.
However, he wouldn't go down so easily. Instead of lances, they were told to use words that they later explained they would be using swords so they could easily kill the other... He held onto his horse and it went dashing faster than any regular horse would, or maybe even could.
He grabbed onto his sword tightly, waiting for his horse to reach the other man, only to then slash him straight in the chest. A thin line of red blood appeared onto his shirt and he later dropped down on the cold arena floor. He struggled to keep his eyes open and they kept on twitching. Isaac only looked at him with pity. Getting off of his horse he tried to express his pity for killing the man. But his arm was almost immediately grabbed and the man and jabbed his left side of his stomach and grinned. Being as lucky as he was to not have been stabbed he jumped up in pain and kicked him. Losing all the pity he felt earlier. The cheers in the crowd almost immediately rose after seeing this. They were here to see a good show, they wanted to see someone's blood being shed. And that's exactly what he would do for them.
Forcefully kicking his leg in the air, the man went flying as well and dropped onto the arena floor. He got up and kicked Isaac's foot causing Isaac to tumble down. Isaac rolled to his right and got up causing the man to miss a strike straight for his chest.
As soon as Isaac got up he felt a burst of pain in his right knee. It slowed him down and caused him to limp. He limped forward still trying to stab him and win but a cold and sharp metal pierced through his right arm.
It caused a cold surging pain throughout his arms and he finally, kicked the man away in anger, he went to him and impaled him straight in the chest. He looked up at Lusilla who had been watching from up high covering her eyes and looking down and the crowd gasped in amazement and Isaac was declared the winner.
