Aron's POV:
It was lunchtime at that god forsaken high school that JR and I went to and somehow all three of the princes wound up attending starting last year. They had started hanging out with us and our friends a few weeks into the year thanks to their guardians. We had just gotten to our seats when we realized it got loud. Everyone was talking about the 13 new kids. Apparently a new girl had just started with her three older brothers and nine cousins. Two of her older brothers and three cousins were third years. The other brother and three other cousins were second years. The other three cousins were first years with the girl.
Suddenly, the canteen got quiet. When I looked up, I saw the girl and the 12 boys. Looking at her, I saw right through the glamour. She was Princess Jae Hwa. There was no way she should be at the same school as the princes. I nudged JR.
"What?" he whispered to me, annoyed.
"Look at the girl. Carefully," I whispered back to him.
He looked at her carefully. When his eyes went wide, I knew he figured out what I had.
"What is she doing here?" he asked me, worried.
"I don't know. This can't be good," I told him.
"We have to risk trying to get to Leeteuk and the others. If the four of them have been brought here together, there's a reason, Aron. The eight of us may not be strong enough to protect them alone," he replied and I nodded.
JR and I watched the 13 new kids carefully. We could tell the twelve boys with Princess Jae Hwa had powers of their own. They were obviously staying close to her. If they were older, I would almost think they were part of the Palace Guard. But watching them with her, they didn't have the discipline or the respect. They didn't treat her as the ruler of the supernatural world that she was.
"Aron?" Kris asked me, getting my attention.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"What's with you? You obsessed about Baekho, Min Hyun, and Ren when they started last year. Now you're obsessing about the new girl and her family?" he asked.
"He's right," Lu Han agreed. "Do you have something about new kids?"
"No!" I exclaimed. "No, it's not that. I just... I don't know what it is, guys. They're just big news in a school like this where everything is the same all the time."
"Are you sure?" Baek Hyun asked. "You guys started acting weird when these three started last year. Kris and Lu Han are right. You're doing it again now."
Baek Hyun pointed to Ren, Min Hyun, and Baekho, who were walking over to the table with their lunches.
"Yeah," Chan Yeol piped up. "You guys weren't even this weird when we all met in middle school."
"What's going on, guys?" Xiumin asked, sitting down.
"It's just, we've been in this town since middle school, and JR and I were the last new kids to move to town," I started.
"And all of a sudden, in two years, we've had four families move to town," JR finished for me. "Isn't that kind of weird?"
"I guess when they break it down like that, it is a little weird," Suho said, seeing some reason in what we said, trying to get the guys to calm down. "They've got a point. When you look at it like that, it isn't weird for them to be curious. We were all really curious when the two of them moved here because it was a big deal for new people to start at the school. Now look at all the new people who have started here since last year."
