It was day 5 of the second exam and we still haven't heard about our team passing, but we held faith as we believed in them... In our students.

Kakashi and I have been either hanging out with one another or in a group with our other Jounin friends, we've heard about the trouble that Orochimaru was here somewhere and so I wanted to get more training done beforehand, because in the back of my mind something doesn't sit well.

I breathed heavily as I jumped back, sweat covering my face and neck. I watched and analyzed my opponent with my Sharingan, my stamina has improved a bit after training with Kakashi for a while. As of now, we were around the same level in Taijutsu and Ninjutsu, but our Genjutsu differs by far. He was good at escaping from GenJutsu while I was good at casting them.

Our chakra levels was also a bit different, somehow the DNA of the tailed beast has boosted my chakra levels, not as much as they have but around 50% of their chakra. I don't regenerate as quick as Naruto does either, but I regenerate just above-average speed.

My grip tightens on my kunai before leaping at him, feeling a newfound energy pushing me to attack again. The silver-haired shinobi blocks the kunai with his own also a bit tired, but not ready to give up. He went to swipe my feet from under me, but I jumped over him whilst twisting my body to keep the kunai away and give me more momentum.

Before I landed I brought my foot down on his back and pushed off of him and getting a bit farther from him. As he fell to the floor I jumped again, but this time on his back keeping him down before plunging my kunai into his back killing him.

I sighed as I looked over to my comrade killing off his last opponent. Then looked at the field we had fought in seeing craters and burn marks along the ground, it looked like a war zone. I felt a soothing hand on my shoulder and looked to see Kakashi smiling at me. I gave him a nod and turned back to my opponent opening a scroll. I looked over the mission again to confirm that this was our target, an S-rank criminal who tried starting a group like the Akatsuki, but one of our spies from the inside told us of this so we could react quick enough. "Captain!" I heard someone call, I turned to face them seeing one of the Jounin I had to lead into this mission run to me holding a scroll. It was Reina who ran to me, she wasn't a close friend, but I remember her from our academy days. She was one of Kakashi's fangirls, still is but not that bad, she had dark brown hair that seemed black and bright green eyes. She was pretty with her exotic like looks and curvy form so she kept trying her luck with Kakashi. "What is it, Reina?" I asked when she reached us and was greeting Kakashi a bit too flirty, no one knew of Kakashi and I so there were still people flirting with him or asking me out.

She snapped out of her seducing state and turned to me giving me a scroll, I nodded at her dismissing her as well. Opening the scroll I could tell that it was about the Chunin Exams, I smiled as I read it. Kakashi looked at me curiosity hidden behind his lazy demeanour. I looked up at him grinning from ear to ear. "They passed." I simply said happy to know our three Genin made it through to the next round. "Then we should probably get back then." he pointed out making me snap out of my weird state and nod, I looked at the other 3 Jounin standing in a group talking about their battle they had with the other criminals, "Listen up, we are heading back to the village right away. Gather what you need, we leave in 10 minutes!" I informed them, they all nodded and headed out to do what they need to do. I looked back at Kakashi giving a simple nod so he knows that I was talking to him too so he left.

We all gather what we could, some information and the enemies' tactics and plans. I sealed the most valuable stuff in scrolls and gave to each one of us so that if something would happen on our way back, we wouldn't lose all of our work. I carried copies of those scrolls they had for precautions. As we made our way back a shimmer in the light caught my eye in the abyss before us, I held up my fist telling them we're stopping. They followed orders without question as I activated my Byakugan to see who are our ambushers and in just a few second millions of kunai came hurtling towards us, "Rotation!" I yelled as I spun making a huge dome of my chakra protecting my teammates.
