Being born into the strongest pack in Mystic Woods, Freedom was always the center of attention. "Just wait till she's older and she'll be the new omega!" "Look at those eyes! They're a very beautiful deep blue." That's all Freedom heard from ages 1-14. Now she's 15 and training to become the new omega in the pack. "Come on! Put more effort into it. Don't slow down! Push through it." Over and over her dad yelled at her. Training after training, day after day. It was as if she wasn't good enough for him, that whatever she did was wrong. Freedom, panting after the training started to walk away, only to upset her father even more. "And where do you think your going young lady? You still have more training to complete." Freedom stopped in her tracks and turned around, "No, I'm done for the day." And continued walking.
She decided to take a walk through her favorite part of the woods, Oak Grove. There were thousands of trails leading to the same spot, just only on different paths. By now Freedom ha pretty much been on every trail since she was little. But she decided to do something different. Just beyond Oak Grove is a place called The Shadows.Wolves that disobeyed the rules got sent here, only this wasn't actually it. The Shadows was down the hill. Freedom never knew what was down there, only who went down there. When she was little her father made her come watch as he banished a young pup. He was no more than her age at the time . Since then Freedom was always wondering how that pup is doing today.
But as she was about to leave she heard a whisper. It was as if the whisper was right behind her. "Your eyes are the key, to where you need to be." Over and over she heard the little whisper. Then like a heart attack, something took over her body. Her eyes started glowing that deep bottomless blue everyone always talked about. Her senses also seemed to be heightened. Freedom's agility rose, her hearing, eye sight, and smell all seemed to be better than before. Then she heard the voice, but it wasn't saying the little chant anymore,it was telling her to go to him. Him? Him who? Freedom thought. It was as if her body could sense what she was thinking cause right then and there she ran. Not towards the Shadows, but towards her father. She decided that she wouldn't be able to do it in broad daylight, she looked around and eventually found a good sized cave. "Dad? Can you come here for a sec?"
Freedom yelled. She saw him approach the cave, but she only went further. She started lightly growling, slowly circling him. "Freedom? Where are you?" She could hear the fear in his voice. "Isn't this what you want dad? I was never good enough for you was I?" Her father stopped and got in his attack position. Freedom stopped and closed her eyes. What am I doing? Stop! Stop! But it was too late her body lunged at her dad attacking him. Freedom pinned him to the ground, with her nails digging into him. "Is this what you wanted dad? Is this how you wanted me to be?" She slowly pulled her nails down his chest creating one big scar. "Guards! Guards!" Freedom snapped out of the trace and looked down at what she did. She killed her own father. She could see the blood stained in her fur and on the ground and walls.
When she looked up she saw the guards running towards her. Once again, it was like her body knew. Her eyes started glowing and she ran. She ran onto one of the trails, her paws digging into the dirt. She picked up a rock in her mouth and threw it at a tree in the opposite direction. She looked back to see the wolves go the way the sound came. "Ha." Was all she was able to say when she tripped on a rock. Freedom went tumbling down a hill, rolling and rolling. When she finally stopped, she slowly tried to get up, but her front paw was injured. "Ow. Of all the hills I've rolled down in my life this is the one where I get injured." Freedom decided to limp over to the nearest cave she saw and laid down. That's when she noticed the movement coming from the other side of the cave.
"W-Who's there" Freedom questioned. Then five pairs of glowing eyes appeared. Most a different color. The eyes came closer, and as Freedom got a better look she noticed that the eyes belonged to wolves. She tried to get up, but just fell back down. "It's ok. We won't hurt you." One of the males said. He seemed to take on the role of the alpha in the pack. "Echo, do you mind healing her?" He said. The wolf stepped forward and placed her paw on Freedom's leg. Her eyes started to glow yellow as Freedom's leg started to heal. Freedom then decided to try and stand, and when she did she didn't fall over. "Wow, thanks." She looked around at everyone. All of them looked unfamiliar until she got to the alpha of the group. She stared and stared until she asked for his name. "You look very familiar, what's your name?" He sat down and looked up at her. "My name is Fang, and I'm the alpha of the group."
As she studied him,she noticed that he had the same deep blue eyes that she had. In fact, as she looked at all the wolves Freedom noticed that. That half of the wolves had the same color eyes as the other half. Then each wolf stepped up and said their names. "I'm Echo and this is Archer, Loki and Alaska." Freedom nodded at each of them. "And I'm Freedom, the daughter of the Alpha in Mystic Woods." Every wolf stood up. "Freedom as in, you killed your father?!" Freedom's eyes widened. "I-I killed him?" Her voice was shaky and her eyes filled with tears. "I-I didn't mean to, it just...happened." Alaska turned to her for comfort, "That's why we're all here. We killed one of our loved ones and we either got caught or ran away." Freedom looked at Fang, "Your the one that my father banished when you were just a pup." "Took ya long enough." He smiled slyly and walked away. Freedom got up and decided to look around, the cave wasn't small, but it wasn't big either. When she went outside, everything seemed different. That it wasn't scary as she thought it was, but it was rather better than Mystic Woods.
She went back in the cave to hear everyone lightly talking, "We need to find the last piece of the moon shards. There should be six total but we only have five." That's when everyone looked up at Freedom. Freedom sat down and looked at everyone. "What?" She noticed they were staring at her necklace. "Freedom, what is that?" asked Fang. "It was a necklace my mother gave me when I was born. Why?" Each wolf then pulled out a similar necklace like Freedom's, but each was a different color, like their eyes. "Freedom," Fang said. "Your our last piece."
