Janus quickly rushed to the house, slamming the car door shut and locking it. At least he thinks he did.

He unlocked the house quickly, rushing in and shutting the door, "Patton? Darling I'm here to help!" He yelled.

"Janus? I'm in the kitchen!" Patton's voice said. A crash echoed around the house, along with s cry "Ah!" Patton seemed to scream.

Janus freaked out, and dropped his bag and ran into the kitchen. He was met with a dropped bowl of... something. Patton had that 'something' all over him. Luckily, Roman and Remus were still in their highchairs, they were laughing.

"Uh.." Patton began, "Welcome home?" He smiled nervously at his husband. Janus smiled gently, chuckling "You dork, what even is that?" Janus asked, getting a wet towel.

Patton grabbed a towel himself to clean himself, "I tried to smash the baby carrots we had and then heated them up a bit, but the bowl was hotter than expected and uh- now I'm here." Patton looked down at his now stained shirt and frowned.

Patton looked down at Janus as he was cleaning the floor "Wait, why are you home? You shouldn't be home til' 4:30?" Janus glanced up, standing up to take the smaller's rag, "I thought you may need help, so I took the day off." Janus threw them in the sink. He'll put them in a basket later.

"And I was right."

Patton, Janus, and the two babies were now in a store. The two smallers sat at in the top of the shopping cart, buckles around them.

Patton had both infants in his lap while Janus drove the car here.

"So what did Hannah tell ya we need?" Patton asked as he pushed the cart. Hannah was Janus' coworker, but bestfriend. She was also a mother to three kids, her partner staying at home.

"She said we need baby food, diapers, car seats, clothes, toys, and more." Janus said as he read over the text before shutting off his phone.

The couple went towards where the baby food should be.

Roman and Remus were babbling, banging their fits on eachother, the cart, or themselves. "Awo!" Roman cheered, smiling happily at his brother. Remus giggled in response.

Patton looked down at them with love, "They are just so cute!" He cooed. Janus smiled too, "They sure are. But it'll be hard." He then looked at Patton, "Hannah has always complained about raising her kids. Even if her partner was there to help, they could only do so much to help her."

"And she raised one baby at a time, not twins."

Patton nodded, "Well I'm ready. Are you?" He asked, adjusting his glasses. Janus reached out, holding Patton's hand as they stopped in front of the baby clothing seeing as it was closer, "Of course."

Patton smiled brightly, then looked at the babies, "Let me check their size."

Patton looked at Remus' shirt, assuming Roman would be the same size.

After time, the two had decided on many pairs of clothing for infants. Most were for twins, matching in a way.

"Now let's see if the baby food is farther down the aisle." Janus hummed, letting Roman wrap his tiny fingers around his pinky finger.

They stopped by the food, picking out many, not knowing what the two would like.

An older women walked over, "What cute little babies you have!" She smiled, waving at the two infants.

Patton beamed, "Thank you!" he chirped. "Are you the father?" she asked.

Janus and Patton froze, they had a pretty good idea how this will end up.

"We both are." Patton pointed to Janus and himself. Janus put a hand on Patton's shoulder, bracing him and Patton for possible insults.

The women's face didn't stop smiling however, "How lovely! You two will do excellent at caring for them, I'm sure." She waved a bye, walking off to where her cart was with two small children, possibly her grandchildren.

Patton let out a relived sigh, "I'm so glad she isn't homophobic." He muttered, going back to pushing the cart towards the next aisle.

Janus rubbed his back soothingly, "It's a good thing she wasn't."

They bought many things for Roman and Remus.

They got clothes, food, many toys, diapers, car seats, wipes, two black bibs with crowns on them, and other groceries they needed for the house.

"That will be $225.56, sir." The young woman said. Janus gave her over, getting the right amount change back.

They walked to their car, Janus putting the car seats together as Patton put up the groceries in the trunk.

"Done." Janus said. A red and green identical car seats now took up the two middle row.

"Virgil and Logan will have to sit in the back now." Patton mumbled, buckling Roman into the red one, Remus into the green.

The family had a black van.

"They won't care." Janus shrugged.

Patton went and put the cart up, heading back towards the car. Janus got the car started when Patton shut the door, driving off.

Roman and Remus were still making noises, just being happy.

Janus grabbed Patton's hand, rubbing circles on the back of his hand "You alright, love?"

Patton sighed loudly, "That took hours.." He looked back at the twins. Roman looked tired, Remus wide awake.

Janus glanced at his husband briefly before looking back towards the road, "We'll get through it. Remember, we don't just have Hannah and her partner, but we have your friend too, Emile."

Patton nodded, "I messaged him about it, but he's working. It'll be awhile before he will answer." Patton squeezed Janus' hand.

The stopped at a red light, "We always have Logan and Virgil, who can entertain them while we relax as much as possible. They wouldn't mind to play with them." He smiled.

Janus leaned in a kissed Patton. Patton kissed back as soon as their lips touched. It didn't last long, but it still meant so much to the two.

"Thank you, Janus."
