Weak.
That's how my body felt slowly coming back to consciousness. Crackling bones and soft groans echoed off the walls. Any movement was unsettling. The nape of my neck was in pain. Most likely due to the tip of my chin pressing into my decolletage. Hours have probably passed being in this position. The discomfort began to subside as I rolled my head around deliberately in steady circles. It felt like it weighed a thousand pounds. Moving hastily might cause more harm than good. Makeup from last night had built up a thick crust, sealing my eyelids shut, making it difficult to open my eyes.
What's the last thing I remember?
Jisoo. We went to a club. Which club? Not really important right now, Y/N. It was Jennie's birthday party. The music was really loud. No wonder my ears feel foggy. The seal on my right eye softened allowing me to peer out of the sticky residue. I don't remember going home. There isn't any indicator showing that I was in a familiar place. Wherever I am, it's pitch black. I can't see anything. Shutting my eyes again, I shift uncomfortably. Another groan vibrated painfully in my parched throat. It felt like someone was stabbing the small of my back with a scorching pocket knife and my butt was entirely numb.
Where the heck am I?
The aftermath of the alcohol began to take a toll on my temples.
Ugh. Why did I have to drink so much?
DRINKING!!
Ripping the seal on my left lid, both of my eyes were sloth-like as they searched the dark room, finding nothing. I remember drinking. A lot. Like a lot, a lot. And a guy. Kim something? No no. Jimmy? Koi fish? Koi fish. Why am I thinking of a fish?
KAI! That's right. That guy. That handsome guy. I think I didn't like him for some reason. Ugh. I'm never drinking again.
Wait.
Squinting my eyes trying to look at my surroundings was pointless. The space didn't feel suffocating. It echoed with my little movements signaling that it was a decent sized room. However, the area felt arctic. Skin that covered my bare legs was littered with goosebumps. The top half of me seemed to be coated by a layer of some kind. It smelled familiar, like the ground after it had rained for hours on end.
Honestly, my back is killing me! Moving my hands to massage my temples is when I freeze, only to realize the predicament I'm in.
Why can't I move my hands?!
Bitterness formed at the base of my throat that was tentatively waiting for the acids in my stomach to surface. The heart beneath my ribs hammered harshly in my chest. Cold chills created a disturbed wave up and down my entire being from the tips of my ears to the ends of my toes. I think I'm going to throw up. An invisible rope had wrapped itself around my throat and was cutting off my airway.
What the hell is going on?!
Now that my body had jolted awake, I swallowed the bitter saliva down my throat. The same throat that felt like it was about to seal shut forever. Breath, Y/N. Try to calm down. A shallow breath gets drawn into the space inside my lungs while my eyes press shut. Okay. okay. Let's just try to figure out what kind of fucked up situation I'm in right now. My chapped bottom lip is pulled between a set of chattering teeth. Cold sweat begins to drip down the spine of my aching back. Twitching my fingers and toes, I sighed in relief as they wiggled around.
No damage so far.
My tongue swiped across my dirty teeth. The lingering taste of liquor still survived on it. Again, I swallowed the sour taste and breath deeply once more. A metallic tap bounced off the walls and echoed around the room as my short nails bounced on the surface of the aluminum chair I was strapped to. From the coarseness, I could figure a rope has been tied around my wrists and ankles rendering me almost completely immobilized. It's surface lightly scratches at the skin, preventing me from moving either of them. My thoughts bring me back to that poor pit-bull.
