~Rosemarie's point of view~

There are only three things that can kill a vampire of my age: decapitation, burning and drinking the blood of a dead man. Decapitation is only efficent if you keep the body far, far away from the body or after a period of time the vampire will become alive once more. Burning means our souls can finally go to rest, it sets us free, usually. And finally you have the blood of a dead man, it is a common belief that this ends us because dead blood is impure and no longer holds the warmth of life needed to continue vampire's existences.

When I came out of that fire alive I was relieved, it was as though god were giving me a second chance. A chance to make things right, to pay back for all the blood I'd spilt. The lives I'd ruined. The lives I'd destroyed. This was my chance to make things right. And that's exactly what I intended to do. I couldn't mess things up this time.

I woke up in the lounge again, coffee and bagels waited for me, steam rising from them. I exhaled deeply, letting the rich aroma fill my nostrils to the point where I was licking my lips. I polished off my first bagel in under a minute before sipping my coffee and sitting up properly. I wore my blouse and skirt from yesterday and my hair was loose. I brushed some loose strands out of my eyes. Bennett was in the kitchen I got up and sneakily creeped by his side. The refridgerator door seperated us. He shut it and nearly spilled the milk when he nearly walked into me. He jumped back in surprise and surpressed the urge to scream - instead he yelped.

"Jesus christ Rosemarie, what did you do? Tip-toe your way over here?" I smirked, clearly catching him off guard. "No, I took my heels off" his eyes went down to my bare feet. "Oh." he managed to say that matter of factly. As always.

"So where are the pack?" he sighed. "A lone rogue was spotted at the edge of our territory, they went to hunt it, even Dimitri did" I smiled "I'm glad he's helping" he looked at me, piercing my gaze with his own "I am too. He's changed since our wedding, for the better I think" I nodded. "Yeah I've known him my whole unnaturally long life and he's never been this... sensitive. Like towards anyone." he chuckled and brushed his fringe from his eyes, "To you maybe?" I gave him a small, weak smile. "Yeah but I mean to everyone else" he gave me a curt nod. "Well he's seems like the fighting god everyone makes him seen and you've shared a bed with him so he must be a good guy." I laughed "If you made a list of who I'd slept with you'd make a word document cry. Don't assume everyone I've slept with is nice, I'm three thousand and eighteen, some are bound to be bad" he shrugged that off. "Well he's good to you so he must be good" I nodded and ate my third bagel. "Well take it from "someone's who has been around a really long time 'don't judge a book by it's cover" he smiled "Well I'm gonna go fill some paperwork out" he grabbed his coffee and retreated to his office.

I sighed and went upstairs the feeling of bordem creeping over me. That's when I bumped into Jeremy, he dropped his coffee down me... again. "Jeremy! Are you set on destroying all of my clothing?! It's a good thing my dress came out clean or you'd be recieving the bill for a new one!" he flinched. "Sorry Luna. Here let me wash your clothes for you" I glared at him. "What do you want me to do, strip down right here?" he mumbled something that sounded vaguely like the word 'maybe' before saying "Go change into your pyjamas or whatever and I'll wash them" I gave him a curt nod. "Very well. Wait outside my room and I'll give you my clothes once I'm changed" I nodded my head for him to follow me and he did.

I walked into the room, slamming the door after me. I threw the doors of my wardrobe open. Grabbing a pair of jeans and a black veil brides t-shirt I slid into them easily. Putting my criminal damage hoodie on I shoved on my converse and picked up my blouse and skirt. Walking right back out the room I threw my clothes at Jeremy.

His werewolf instinct kicked in and he caught them automatically. "I really am sorry Rose. I didn't mean to do it the first nor the second time" I rolled my eyes "Spare me your apologies. I know your sorry. Now clean my clothes before the coffee stains" he gave me a nod and said "bye" before rushing to put my clothes in the washing machine.

I smirked to myself, satisfied that I'd scared Jeremy. I had to get some fun out of this treaty. I went to Skylar's room. She sat at a table with teddies on tiny chairs, pouring them cups of invisible tea. I knocked politely on the door although it was open. "May I join you madam?" she smiled at me, making her childish features glow. She had doe-like eyes, ebony hair, porclain skin and high cheekbones. She looked exactly like a werewolf. "Hi mommy, have you come to join the tea party?" I gave her a wide grin. "Why yes I have" she giggled. "Here that Alice? We've got another guest!" I gave her a puzzled look and Skylar blushed. "Alice is my imaginary friend." I gave her a nod of acknowledgement "Well I'm sure she's wonderful" Skylar giggled again "She is" I sat down on the carpeted floor beside the table. Skylar set up a tea cup, saucer, spoon and sugar pot in front of me. "Help yourself" she said gesturing to the invisible sugar. Pretending to pour tea into my cup. "Thank you, you're an amazing hostess" she blushed "Thanks mommy" I smiled "Your welcome" she twirled a lock of hair round her dainty fingers.

When the time came for dinner I picked Skylar up and we ventured down stairs to the kitchen. I gave her a tuna sandwhich, packet or crips, carton of orange juice and an apple. Handing them to her, her face lit up. "Thank you, can we sit outside to eat?" I looked out the window. "Babe we can't, it's raining" she pouted her thin lips. "Oh. Doesn't matter. We'll sit in the lounge then" I smiled at her and followed her lead as we ventured into the lounge. Nobody sat in here so I assumed everyone was still on the hunt. I knew all kids had been left here but it concerned me who'd been looking after them. Jenna's voice suddenly rang out. "Skylar?" Skylar's head flew up from her contended thoughts on her food. She put her plate down and shot like a rocket from her seat and upstairs, I followed, closely behind her as she ran. She stumbled into Jenna. "Oh there you are silly! You had me worried." Skylar gave her a look of innocence "I was in my room with Luna" Jenna's eyes went to me. "Well go have your dinner and then I'm taking you to go shopping" Skylar frowned "I want to stay home with Luna" Jenna rolled her eyes "Tough" and with that she turned on her heel and went to the room she'd came from.

Skylar and I exchanged a glance before returning to the lounge. She finished eating her dinner before I walked back upstairs with her. We put her coat on and I told her mother what time she ate so she knew when to feed her next. She thanked me for looking after her and then left in her car to go shopping. Left with nothing to do I went to Bennett's office and sat on the edge of his desk, swinging my legs back and forth like a pendulum. "I'm bored." his eyes never left the paper he was reading. "Uh huh. That's good." I glared at him. "Being bored is good?" I asked. What the hell? "Oh right. I thought you told me something like you got a new dress or whatever" I rolled my eyes "No but Jeremy spilt his coffee on me... again" he chuckled and signed his initals on another sheet of A4 paper. "Want me to shout at him?" he put the paper into a 'finished' tray and moved onto the next. "No. I just wish he'd stop it." he coughed. "Your clothes came clean didn't they?" I gave him a nod. "Yeah." he coughed again. "What's your problem then?" I frowned. "Would you like scolding hot coffee spilling on you? Twice?"

He flinched, ever more aware of my conditions, since the fire any injury a human could've inflicted had remained on me, I hadn't fed in days, my skin was paler than it's usual deathly colour and dark circles lay under my mesmerising sapphire eyes. "Do you need blood?" he asked, his tone becoming hushed, as though he feared the question. "Yes" he pulled down the starched collar of his shirt. "Okay. Can you like... only take a bit?" a pained look swam over my features. "Vampires can't drink from supernatural creatures, it has to be human blood" he supressed a sigh before pulling his collar back into position. "Oh right. Sorry." I gave him a melancholy smile. "It's alright, I'll go raid Dimitri's blood bag collection, I'm sure he'll have something to my refined standards" he gave me a playful smile "You guys like certain types of blood" I gave him a curt nod "Yeah. It's different for everyone" he nodded his acknowledgement "Well if you'll excuse me, I have more work to be getting on with" I sighed and left "Bye" he didn't respond although this didn't concern me to say the least.
