Chapter 25

Kate POV.

Oh no.. Mom, she was back.

I panicked, "Ross! Ross, find the keys! Hurry!"

"Im trying... Ugh! I cant find it!" He said. He sounded more nervous then I was.

I heard her open the front door.

"Ross, just break it!" I said.

"Ok... Umm... How about this?" He said, holding up an ax.

I hesitated. What if he missed?

"O-okay I said."

She was almost to the basement door...

" Ready he said?" his hands shaking.

"Yes! Ross, just do it." I said.

She was at the door...

He swung down hard, and missed my hand.

I was free. He picked me up on his back and he ran out the door. I heard mom yelling at us.

"Hurry!" I screamed, as we got into the car.

He slammed on the gas.

"GET DOWN!!!" He screamed.

I ducked. Then I heard gunshots. Soon we were away from mom...

We breathed heavily. I looked in the back. The window had 3 bullet holes through it.

Ross pulled off to the side of the road. He just sat there for a minute and then finally looked over at me. He leaned over and kissed me passionately.

He looked into my eyes and said, "I missed you so much baby girl. Im so so sorry I let her take you."

"No baby. Its not your fault at all." I said.

He looked out the window. He sighed. "Babe?"

"Yes?" I replied.

"Did you really run away?" Ross said, still looking out the window.

I felt a pit in my stomach. I guess I had to tell him...

"Yeah... Its true..." I said.

He looked at me. "Why?"

"Because I missed you. I wanted to see you so bad. I couldnt handle it anymore. So, I just ran. Ran and cryed. Then finally I found you. I dont know how..." I said looking at my golden ring he gave me.

He was quiet for a moment before he said, " Really?"

"Yeah." I said, still looking at my ring.

Then he grabbed my hand and made me look at him.

"Well im glad you did." He said. Then he gave me a quicky kiss and then we started to go back home....

Stormie POV.

When Rydel said that Ross had gone out to find Kate, my heart skipped a beat.

I couldnt belive it.

What would happen to Ross and Kate? Would he even find her?

All of these questions rushed through my head as I called everyone into the living room for a family meeting.

"Ok guys. Sit down.'' I said

Everyone had a seat on the couch and on the floor.

I closed my eyes and said, "Ross went to look for Kate."

Everyone gasped.

Then Riker said, " Wait, wait, wait. On his own?" He asked concerned.

"Yes." I said.

Delly went upstairs crying.

I was on the verge of tears myself.

I was worried sick about Ross. And Kate. Oh God! Where could they be?
