Chapter 57

[Jeno]

I followed Jiho the kitchen as she prepared the cups and plates, after the game for today, haechan and Jisung convinced me to go to Jiho's place. I didn't disagree of course, it was a chance of being with her. 

And when I arrived, there are already three boxes of pizza on their coffee table, a bag full of movies, and bottles of carbonated drinks that are waiting to be opened. "What's with the sudden invitation?" I ask her, while helping to hold the cups and placed them on the table.

She shrugged, "Nothing really, I was feeling kind of bored and I didn't see the other guys for days, so I decided to let you guys go here." She said, while I nod. The nod was fake, I knew something was up with her. 

And I know that it's because of Na Jaemin.

When we settled in the living room, Mark and Chele arrived together, and the last one was Jaemin, looking at me and Jiho. Although, I do feel defeated because of last night, I couldn't let that take Jiho away from me. Maybe she'll have a change of heart.

Face it Jeno, you just felt Jiho flinch when Jaemin arrived.

Instead, I held Jiho's hand and smiled at her, "So, what are we watching?"

"I'm letting them decide, I'm really here for the food." she said before taking a bite of the pepperoni pizza, making me smile. At least food can distract her, I also got myself a slice and ate. But there was this feeling that Jaemin is staring at me, or maybe staring at Jiho. I don't know.

The boys decided to watch Frozen 2, making the whole house be surrounded by Haechan and Chenle's voice belting 'Into the Unknown' or 'Some Things Never Change', making me laugh. But I zeroed my focus to Jiho who isn't even talking a bit, I nudged her side and asked, "What's up?"

"Nothing, maybe I'm just tired." she said, making me frown, "We could've done this next time--"

I stopped talking when Jiho held my hand, making my face heat up a little bit, "It's okay, besides unplanned moments are the best."

Just like me falling for you, very unplanned.

I shrugged it off with a smile and looking at the screen again, letting my mind think about something else. Of course, it hurted when I knew that Jiho likes Jaemin, it hurted that he has a chance while Jiho treats me only as a friend. 

I looked at Jiho , who was watching the movie, and immediately my heart leaps with joy if I look at her. She's the important to me, that I love everything about her. Her hair, her cute smile, and her selflessness when it comes to us. I can't help but to admire her in each and every way.

(girls, boys, get yourself a lee jeno, for a price of a heart and a kidney)

I know she likes Jaemin, but would it hurt to like me too? (this hurts me multiple times just by thinking that jeno feels this way akjksdjkasd)

After another movie or two, we finally decided to let Jiho rest. The others already went home but me and Jaemin were the ones left. I looked at Jiho, who is out cold on the sofa. I used my jacket to cover her legs since she was wearing shorts. "You can go now, Jeno-ya, I'll take her to her room."

But before he can even take another step, I stopped him by placing my hand on his shoulder. "When will you admit that you like her?"

He turned his head, "Are we seriously going through this again? I'm--"

"Just say it, I won't get mad." I said sternly, "Everybody already knows, Jaemin-ah. Why are you still lying to yourself?"Then he forcefully removed my hand from his shoulder, facing me, "then why are you forcing me to say it?"

"I like Jiho, are you happy now? I like her, and now I'm acting how I acted before, when Kyungri wa still here."

I don't know why, but it relieved me. So now, I can finally declare as a brotherly conflict, over a girl named Kim Jiho.

I grinned, almost sarcastically, "That took a while."

He had this confused look that almost made  me laugh, "Like I said, I'm not mad,"

I passed by him and crouched down to look at Jiho, "but just so you know, I'm not backing down, I can make Jiho fall for me, instead of you."
