THE NEXT DAY, DAPHNE HAD DECIDED TO GO WITH RICK AND CARL TO TEACH RON HOW TO USE A GUN. As they passed through, Gabriel had putting up flyers for a meeting at the church. The Grimes men, Ron and Daphne happened to be passing by when he was putting them up.

Rick decided to take one flyer and crumbled it up. Daphne snickered at Rick's action. The asshole deserved it after stabbing all of them in the back for telling Deanna not to trust them at all and that they were bad.

"Dad." Carl said, shooting a 'seriously' look to his father. Of course, Rick ignores him and continues walking.

They get to the spot where they're practicing. Daphne leans against the table where Rick is teaching Ron at the post. "Handguns will be a little better for your first go. Magazine release. Slide release. Thumb safety." Rick explains.

"That stuff's easy, right, Dad?" Carl asks and then looks at Ron. There was definitely tension between Ron and Carl, Daphne could just sense it. It must've been pretty awkward to have your friend's dad kill your dad.

"Empty magazine. Empty chamber. See it?" Ron tilted his head as he looked at the gun Rick was holding. "Yeah." He nodded.

"Someone's in front of you, they have a gun." Rick says. "You're gonna be scared. You will be." Carl says. "And not just the first time around." Daphne adds in.

"Your body's gonna tense, you won't have time to think. You're just gonna want to pull the trigger when you get it in front of you." Rick shows Ron as he moves the gun downwards. "But you'll miss and you'll be dead. You have to get it up to your eye."

"You've got to be strong enough to wait for your moment." Carl added and Daphne bit her lip anxiously.

"Can I, uh...?" Rick hands Ron the gun and Ron holds the gun up at the wall and Daphne walks over to Ron, noticing his finger's already at the trigger. "Hey, don't let your finger doesn't touch the trigger until you're ready to shoot what's in front of you." She tells and backs out the way.

Ron aims and the gun clicks. "Keep that one with you. Get a feel of what it's like to carry one around." Rick suggests. "Can I shoot it?" Ron questions.

"Maybe like down at the walkers?" He asks. Rick shakes his head. "No, with things how they are, the walls are strong, but we're lucky the walkers are spread out. We don't want to pull them all to one spot."

"Well, what about, like, target practice in the center of town?" Ron was really looking for some practice. "'Cause then the sound will spread out in each direction. Or maybe we could use, like, silencers or something like that." Rick looks at him, indicating that maybe that wasn't a good idea.
