"Lizzie!" Meredith said with fear and a mixture of fake enthusiasm in the undertone of her voice.
"Meredith, it's so good to see you again." Lizzie replied back sweetly.
"What are you doing in Seattle?"
"Oh I'm here for a conference at Seattle Prez, and I thought I'd come to see you and Amelia. Also Zola and Bailey I haven't seen them since the funeral, which I want to apologize for. We were all so cruel to you after Derek's death so I was hoping we could reconcile."
Meredith awkwardly smiled, she had never informed Derek's family about the existence of Ellis. But she was saved by the bell when Schmitt came up to her.
"Dr Grey! Dr Lincoln and Shepherd are both in surgery and Scout seemed to of had a allergic reaction in daycare. I would page them but protocol, so maybe you could go handle it?" Schmitt questioned out of breath considering he had run from the peds floor to the lobby.
Meredith internally cringed when she was Liz's confused face at the mention of her sisters name from the corner of her eye.
"Thank you Schmitt, I'll go handle it. If you'll excuse me Lizzie. We will definitely catch up." Meredith said as she ran up the stairs desperate to get away from Liz.

"Dr Shepherd are you almost done with surgery." A nurse asked as she held the landline to her ear.
"Just about to close why?" Amelia looked up and saw the nurses concerned face. "Is it Scout? Is something wrong?"
"Don't panic Dr Shepherd, just curious on your progress." The nurse unconvincingly said.
"Helm close." Amelia said as she stripped from her sterile clothes hearing a 'thank you' from the eager resident as she bolted out of the OR. Her lungs burned as she ran from the OR floor to the peds floor. She then saw Meredith in a room with her son, she was administering something into an IV.
"What happened?" Amelia frantically asked as she got to her sons side, shocked to see his state and stroked his cheek. "I should of been paged immediately, in surgery or not."
"Amelia you know the protocol. It seems like it was a slow burn anaphylactic shock caused from latex." Meredith calmly said. "And in addition Lizzie is here."
Amelia was silent and pulled up a chair so that she could sit with her son, ignoring Meredith's last comment.
"Umm, well I never told them about Ellis." Meredith added, trying to find a reaction from Amelia.
"Look, Meredith I know my sisters aren't your problem anymore but I just can't. Scout has a chest tube down his throat, and since this was slow burn it's been happening for a couple of days and I-I just didn't notice! How could I not notice my baby going into anaphylactic shock!" Amelia questioned as her voice broke.
"I understand, I'll handle Lizzie." Meredith stated as she left the room.

"Hey Lizzie, sorry about that." Meredith said as she approached her sister in law sitting in the lobby's waiting room.
"No problem, but I do have a question. Does Amelia have a secret baby we don't know about? Because my sisters did inform me after their dinner with Amelia about a teenager and a toddler, or so is Scout the toddler? I'm just trying to connect the dots here." Lizzie questioned as Owen came up to Meredith.
"Hey Mer do you know where Amelia is? I was wondering if she could take Leo tonight I know it's not her week but I just need her to take him if she can." Owen told Meredith, who at this point was ready to throw herself out a window.
"Umm, no she can't tonight sorry." Meredith awkwardly said.
"How do you know? Is everything ok?" Questioned Owen.
"Umm yes everything is fine." Meredith said doing her awkward smile.
"Ummm okay then." Owen said as he awkwardly walked away.
"This just keeps getting more and more confusing. Who was that and who is Leo?" Lizzie interrogated.
"Why don't you come over for dinner, the kids will be there. Zola has been desperate for more Derek stories lately, and I'm sure she would love a different perspective." Meredith offered.
"Sure, that works." A reluctant Lizzie said.

"Mils, I just heard what happened." Link said out of breath as he came into the room. Amelia got out of the chair signaling him to sit down so she could sit in his lap.
"How did we not realize Link?" Amelia said as her voice broke.
"I have no idea." Link mumbled into her hair and pulled her closer to him.
"My sister is also here which makes this ten times worse." Groaned Amelia as she fell into her boyfriends embrace.
"Which one?"
"Lizzie, the one you didn't meet." Whit this Link just nodded.
"Do you think Zola is going to be upset that we won't be at dinner tonight? Meredith was telling me she's been upset with the whole situation since you've moved in with me."
"Probably but she'll get over it. Lizzie will tell her some Derek stories though."
