ten;
life on the line.

Cecilia's POV
Jimin enters my room grasping a tray with both of his hands. He then beamed at me, his crescent eyes showing. He stands at the edge of the bed, his eyes gleaming with sincerity.“Jin hyung made you a food,” he says, “Jin hyung cooks good foods, you should give this a taste.”
“No thanks,” I frowned.
“But I’m sure you’ll like this!” Jimin sat at the edge of the bed, still holding the tray with his hands.
“I said no, Jimin. Can’t you understand that?” I scowled at him.
Jimin looks offended at my words, his pouty plump lips slightly curved down. His eyes roamed around the room, scratching the back of his head.
“You need to eat, Lia.” Jimin mutters, “You haven’t eaten since last night, you’ll starve.”
“I think I better starve myself than stay here,” I glared at him, hugging my knees.
I don’t remember much from last night’s event after Jimin and Taehyung shoot the cars that were chasing us. I have no idea how I ended up on this room with white walls and bed. Everything is white that I almost loose my sanity thinking that I’m like on a rehabilitation ward.
“Lia, don’t make this harder—”
“Shut up!” I yelled, running my hands on my hair. “Leave me alone,”
Jimin sighed in defeat, standing up from the bed. He laid the tray with foods on the night stand then puffed out a breath before heading out.
I bit my lip and rested my head on the bed’s headboard, staring at the space. Letting the eerie silence pierce through my ears.
I never thought I’d end up here. Questions are piling up on my head and I badly want an answer but they refuse to give it to me.
But I’m sure that Hoseok knows these guys I’m with as well as Namjoon.
And Jungkook…
Now, chances are even big that Jungkook knows all of them too.
Is that why Jungkook and Namjoon were talking weeks ago on my company about something?
“But this isn’t part of it, hyung. What are you doing here?”
“Things change, Kook. So shut the fuck up and just let everything flow.”
And that guy with computers last night…
“Jungkook and Hoseok are on their way.”
Things are starting to make sense, little by little. For now, I am certain that there is a possibility that Namjoon and Jungkook are the potential culprits of this abduction. Nodding my head and convinced with my theory, I still need to find out how Hoseok know these people.
But the real question here is; why is everyone after me?
“Your father’s rival…”
Remembering Hoseok’s words, is there’s a probability that my father has something that those rivals want? Or did my father do something that those rivals want me in exchange?
Are they my father’s rivals?
I pursed my lips at my thoughts, it can’t be. If they are, they should’ve killed me in the instant they caught me in their trap. They wouldn’t chase Hoseok and I that time we went in for dinner because I am with him.
“You should’ve waited for me last night!” I heard indistinct voices from outside, interrupting the thoughts clouding my mind.
“Wait for you and let them catch us? Kook, I think you knew better.” Jin’s voice replied back.
“And why would you put her in this room?” Jungkook grimaced voice says.
“Namjoon ordered us to do so,” Jin responded.
The door busted open revealing Jungkook with Jin behind him. Jungkook’s worried eyes bore into mine and he walked slowly towards me.
“Lia—” Jungkook says in a subtle voice.
“You… Where were you?” My lips quivered, “You are nowhere in sight when I was taken…” I breathed.
“Lia please—”
“Jin, please leave us alone,” I gave Jin a pleading look, he slightly bowed his head down and closed the door behind him.
“Are you behind this?” I angrily pointed at him. Jungkook stood in front of me with his eyes on the floor.
“You’re the one who ordered them to bring me here, aren’t you?!” I angry yelled, standing up on my feet to face him.
Jungkook’s eyes widen and he shakes his head repeatedly, “No, No Lia, you got it wrong—”
“Wrong?” I scoffed. “Is that you don’t want me to ask your relationship with Namjoon?”
“Lia, listen—” Jungkook puts his hand on my shoulder.
“Don’t touch me!” I flinched under his touch, tears slowly blurring my vision.
Jungkook puts his hands on his face, rubbing it frustratedly. The room was filled with tension that I can’t almost not breathe.
“How could you?” I sniffled, “I trusted you…” I trailed off.
“Lia, will you please listen to me just once?” Jungkook pleas and I closed my eyes in exhaustion.
Shaking my head, I faced him.
“Listen? What will I get from listening to you?”“I know everything doesn’t make sense,” he whispers.
“But you need to trust me this time, Lia.”
I want to slap him because of the words coming out from his mouth. But I wanted to slap myself even more because how did I trust him if he always ends up being secretive?
“Leave,” I said stoically.
Jungkook closed his eyes, his aura radiates that he’s just as worn out as I am.
“I was stupid to trust you back then,” I looked at him straight in the eye. “I may not word it out but I trusted you.”
Jungkook didn’t utter a word, he’s just looking at me with weary eyes. His head bobbed to right side with a frown on his face.
“Now leave, Jeon. Leave me alone. I don’t want to see you.” I said with conviction.
His attention turns back to me, and his face reflects like he couldn’t believe what I just said.
“I said leave!” he flinched a little at my harsh words.
My emotions are all over the place, this is so not me as far as I can remember. He looked at me and his lips parted open like he’s about to say something, but he immediately shut it and made his way towards the door, closing it after the moment he went out.
That’s right, Jeon Jungkook. I couldn’t trust you again. Not when my life is almost on the line because of what’s currently happening.
