"Harry you have to be tired by now! It's almost midnight, you need to sleep. You have a big game tomorrow, you can't miss it," Hermione urged. They had played about a million games of chess and it was almost midnight.

"I can't sleep, Hermione. You can go off and go to bed if you're tired, I'll go look for Ron. Honestly, I'm f-"

"No! I'll stay. Just don't go see Ron," Harry gave her a weird look and she instantly tried to recover, "I mean, I heard if anyone tries to go interrupt his detention, he'll have to go again tomorrow,"

"Detention until midnight? Hermione, this is crazy!" Harry said angrily.

"Look, I'm sure Ron will explain everything to you TOMORROW. At breakfast. Okay? Just please try and get some sleep, Harry," Hermione begged weakly, exhaustion taking control of her. She knew she made a deal with Ron, but she had a very strict sleeping schedule and she didn't know if her body could take much more of this. "I know you're having nightmares, Harry. Ron told me," Hermione said softly when he didn't answer.

"Wh-" His face instantly went red with embarrassment. She shook her head.

"It's okay. I know you want Ron with you before you go to bed. Just... Stay here, I'll go get him. 'Kay?" Harry nodded, not looking up at her.

"Thanks," He mumbled as Hermione got up. She walked over to the library, where she suspected Ron was. She didn't know exactly where he was, but she didn't know where else he could possibly be.

She yawned as she walked through the empty library. Looking down each aisle to see where he was. She groaned in annoyance when she saw a few books shoved messily into the bookshelf, obviously in the wrong place.

She wondered if Ron had done it. She doubted anyone else was down there this late and someone would've fixed this if it had happened a while ago... She didn't see Ron and assumed he had probably gone to the bathroom or something.

She decided to try and fix the books on the shelf. She took them out and dropped them with a gasp when she saw the front cover. She knew they couldn't be Ron's. They were all about Dark Magic. Ron wouldn't be as foolish as to mess around with that.

She knew someone in the school had to be coming here at night to look at this. But why would they have the books here? Where any student could easily read about them? Besides, this person didn't even try to hide the books... They were just stuffed on the shelf in plain sight.

Whoever had been there must've gotten the books from the restricted section and left in a hurry, not doing a good job at cleaning up their mess. Hermione looked around to make sure no one was there as she flipped open one of the books. She wanted to know exactly what this person was trying to figure out.

She gaped in astonishment at the advances spells and how horrible they were. She didn't know how this book had fallen into the wrong hands, but she knew that no student should know any of this. She flipped through more pages, examining every one to try and make sense of it all.

She flipped the page once more, not sure if she was able to even read any more, when a small piece of paper flew out, falling to the floor. She bent down to pick it up, instantly dropping it again with a loud gasp of shock when she recognized the handwriting. It was Ron.
